Ok I know Im really Pushing it, Anyone else going in 2012?

going back in Sept. 2012!! Hopefully going to stay at the new Art of Animation...if it's opened by then!!

We just changed our Aug 11 trip to Jan 12, kids have a few teacher workdays off in Jan, so they'll only miss one day of school, I can live with that! Hoping for some kind of discount :) I'm actually excited about going in Jan, and missing out on the heat and crowds :yay:

::yes:: October 2012 to celebrate my middle DD's bat mitzvah.

As of now we'll be staying 7 nights in a 2 bedroom at SSR and the other 5 nights, well, no one can agree. :lmao: I want the THV, DH doesn't want to move ;), the bat mitzvah girl wants OKW (again), my oldest DD wants AKV (again), and my son wants us all to be quiet about it but likes the idea of the BWV or THV.

We've also just changed our dates to October! Will be there the 19th through 27th!

Also looking forward to the F&W Festival and MNSSHP!!!

Does anyone have their room booked yet?
I haven't booked anything yet. I'm waiting on the 2012 packages. Also, I'm still planning the first part of the trip, and have yet to nail down the Civil War stuff we are going to do before we get to WDW. The trickiest part is that we aren't leaving the DFW area of Texas until 11:30 AM Friday. I need to figure out how to see all that we want on the way there, and arrive at WDW on Tuesday for our oldest DS's 15th bday.

Doing the princess half marathon end of February/early march and will be booking my room in the next couple weeks!

Not booked yet; I'll book when the 2012 prices come out. (Though I don't really know why I'm waiting; I know where I want to go and the type of room I want.)

DH and I have been to Disney the past three years to celebrate our anniversary. But we were planning to take 2012 off so that we could save for adoption.

I was chatting with my Mom last week and she announced that "nothing would make her happier than to celebrate her retirement with the whole family (her, Dad, me, husband and my brother) together in WDW, their treat!" So, it sounds like we're going in 2012 - hopefully early in the year, but we'll go anytime. We're so excited!!! :yay:

No I don't think your crazy at all we start planning almost 2 years out when to go again.

Wilderness Lodge 1997
Caribbean Beach 2003
Port Orleans-Riverside 2005
Wilderness Lodge 2007
Polynesian 2009
Contemporary 2011

Had a trip planned to take our mother's this November, but their finances and our finances(we're expecting a baby) kind of squashed those plans for this year. I have a friend on Facebook who just came back from WDW and posted her pics and now.......I have got to get back there! So trying to put together a trip in Nov. 2012! That gives me a year and a half to save, and hopefully our mother's get to go too but either way, I wanna' go back!!! :)

Planning is half the fun, so I looked to see if there were any threads on trip planning for 2012 and found this! Happy planning everyone! :goodvibes

Nope your npot Crazy, every trip i take to Disney coming from the UK i book at least a yr in advance! Sometime a yr and half.....
With a family of 5 thats 2 adults and 3 children aged now 6,6,and 8 plus we take my mum too,(for babysitting) plus she has taken me every yr since i was 2 so i cant thenm leave her behind :rotfl2:
We always do at least 2 wks at a Disney resort if we can stretch the extra pennys we go for 3, Oldest son is mildly Autistic so it takes him a few days to settle!
plus its a long flight to go for any less and there is so much to see and do (all of the boys are rollercoaster and fast exciting ride children)like there parents!!

So we are planning to go for the last wk in september for 2 wks(3 if we can afford it)
We like to add on the DDP we would love to get FREE DINING and so desperatly hop they offer that since it knocks loads of our price and our boys are always eating:rotfl2: and we love the restaurents its a must for us to do Charecter meals and adult TS with or without the kids!! Last yr we did AKL for 3 wks and although it was Out of this world Beautiful the boys asked if we g=could spend the last wk at POP :rotfl: Imagine thats after spending an extra 7000 British pounds to stay here :lmao:
So we would do either POP the new Animation (so want to do the MERMAID SECTION) or we may if its free dining go to CBR or POFQ depending on savings with DDP
We are really hoping to go on a Adult only trip either this October/november or at Least next March/april so we could hopefully get a bounce bk and take the kids bk with that deal so as you can see it takes a good yr to plan hahaha
Then there is the Ressies for dining and i have to have a day to day plan,I always leave 3 days out of each wk spread out that we dont have any parks planned(we will do them) just wont know which ones and tie ourselves down to eating at certain places apart from the planned and booked ones!
Boy i can really go on but i get sooooo excited!

I'm going in Oct. for a short trip to F & W Festival. But I just booked OKW for a week in Jan. 2012. Wheee! :goodvibes

God willing... I'll be going twice a year till I can't go anymore. So yes... I'm planning 1St. week in Dec. and the last week in April. Or as close to these dates as we can get in 2012, 2013, 2014. You get the idea. LOL
princess:

I know that my vacation is a ways out, but just wondered if anyone else here was also planning to go in 2012? The reason we are waiting so long to go is two fold:

1. It will be our 25th Wedding Anniversary on October 22nd of that year and
since we will be First Time Disney Vacationers, we thought what better time to go than during our 25th Anniversary?

2. Finances, we will have plenty of time to save up for it then.

We are planning to go either for five or seven days, havent really decided yet. Would like to know if anyone else is going during that time period as well.

25 years! WOW that's awesome :) We are going in October 2012 as well. Waiting to see when we can book a Treehouse Villa, so far we cannot book one that far out in advance. On a different note: does anyone know how to get this old ticker off of my signature?

It's never too early to start planning a WDW vacation. I am going for 12-12-12. I about a week and a half I will be at the 500 day mark, and I am going to call that morning and book my trip. In 2014, DH and I are going to take our son on a Disney Cruise for his high school graduation. Then a couple years after that I am hoping to go to Hawaii for our 25th wedding anniversary, and would like to stay at the new Disney resort.

Have fun planning, I always do!!
