Whats with no pool hopping to Uzima Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge?

I mean I have been there and all but I wouldn't do cartwheels or make a special trip for it.

I'm not sure, but I think it may have something to do with the fact the AKL only has one pool. Most resorts have a main pool and some quiet pools, but not AKL. Perhaps Disney is concerned that poolhopping at AKL would make the one and only pool area too crowded? Just a guess.

I think, in theory, they want to control the number of "browsers" at the resort overall, because folks "just visiting" the resort, whether it be for dinner or the pools, etc. are also apt to overuse the wildlife viewing areas, which may then cause the animals to "shy away" from the lodge. I remember when AKL first opened, there was a $10 refundable deposit to book a dining ressie if you were not a guest at that resort and wanted to dine at Boma or Jiko.
