Ok...I feel I have to share this

Perfect birthday gift for Mom. She loves Mary Chapin Carpenter. And she's impossible to shop for. Thank you!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Had not heard of this artist, but think she must be an acquired taste :)

I LOVE Mary Chapin Carpenter. One of my favorite songs of all times is sung by her - "Grow Old Along With Me". Thanks for sharing with me.

We love Mary-Chapin - Grow Old Along With Me was our wedding song. I had to listen to it over and over so I wouldn't sob....Greg and I are kind of old, but we only got married in 2001.

Thanks for the heads up! I've been a MCC fan for years, but I didn't realize that she had a new CD out. I'm off to download it from iTunes!

:hippie:

never her of her but I will have to check it out we love Christmas music

Today was the day I broke out my Christmas music. I put on Trans Siberian Orchestra. I LOVE Christmas music!!!

Thanks for the tip!

Kimba

It was 90+ degrees here today...definitely NOT in the Christmas spirit...not even in the Halloween spirit at this point. And DS has a field trip to a pumpkin patch tomorrow. Yeah, that'll be fun, hauling around a pumpkin in (as Pete would say) temps hotter then the surface of the sun. Hopefully it cools off soon then I can get in the mood for some good MCC Xmas tunes.

This got me in the mood. Wait, I mean spirit!........that was creepy.

Anyway, I broke out my Harry Connick Christmas CD. I want to start a fire in the fireplace and drink spiked egg nog.

I LOVE the holidays.

I have heard of her, but I'm not familiar with her music. I'll have to check it out considering it's coming from Kevin. Lets see if his ear is as refined as his pallet? ;)

Woooo Hooo....1 month till our trip!!! Sorry, I just had to add that!!!!:yay:

I haven't broken out the Christmas music YET, but I've definitely started in October in the past! A local radio station starts playing continuous Christmas music the weekend before Thanksgiving! :)

Thanks for the recommendation, Kevin. I am the Queen of Christmas CDs (we have a BUNCH) and am always interested in hearing about a good new one.

I ordered it from Amazon today, along with an Amy Grant one that I didn't buy last year and have kicked myself about ever since.

DH (Phillip) just rolls his eyes. There could be worse addictions I guess.

okay, Christmas music ..... I have my own Christmas music playlist that I start listening to on Nov 1st.

Kevin, you know if you could, you would have that tree up right now. :lmao:

I love, love, LOVE Amy's Christmas record. She's making yet another one right now. I have no idea what Christmas songs she hasn't covered. Guess we'll see.

I'll admit it...

I'm an atheist with an absolute passion for Christmas music!

Thanks for the lead, Kevin.

Ahhh, Kindred Spirits Mindy!

However, we don't even think about celebrating Christmas till December 16th, (my birthday) cause it steals my thunder! ;)

A local radio station here does that in July! They play Christmas music in the late hours of the evening and wee hours of the morning. Of course, it's the Christmas in July celebration.

I've been looking for some new, good Christmas music. Is MCC on iTunes?

Yes, MCC is on iTunes. I almost bought it last night. Almost. I can't play let alone buy X-mas music when it's not even Halloween. Just can't do it!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...and Chanukah...And Kwanzaa...Wait...

Is that...A pumpkin? Where's the snow? And the happy feelings?! All I see are goblins, witches, and cheap knock off costumes of Disney characters at stores...It's not Christmas until Target has a section dedicated to it.:rolleyes1

Our targets have already got christmas cards out and some decorations. :scared1:

Home Depot here has had Christmas stuff out for weeks.

When I'm King of the World, Christmas stuff will have to wait until at LEAST after Halloween.

While I'm ranting, WHY does my Kroger take the Halloween candy away TWO DAYS BEFORE Halloween?!? Some of us don't BUY trick-or-treater candy until we HAVE to!!! :furious:

That's just wrong! I wait to see what the weather is going to be like before buying my t&t candy. If it's going to be cold and rainy, I buy a lot less than I would if the weather is in the 70s and dry. Boo to Kroger!
