this time without mentioning a specific thread..... Hopefully this will not be deleted.

Why, if a thread is closed, is that thread not deleted? For one thing, why would someone want to read through an few pages of posts only to find that it's closed. And lastly ( well maybe) the tread has most likely gotten out of hand, so why would we want that thread sticking around anyway?

I have a theory, but you wouldn't want to hear it, Uncle Tony.

My 2nd theory is it screws up people's post count.

I'd much rather one of my threads to be deleted than just closed (and I have requested it to happen and been granted that request).
