OK I am finally back and here to help

Hey Dave - Well I contacted Quality Suites and spoke to Michelle Rodriguez, who is the manager of QS, (ps she was in Key West for a long time working for the Radisson so I know her) - anyhow I explained to her as to the nature of my contact and why the web site offered free buffet breakfast plus shuttle and parking for cruisers when it fact it wasn't quite true - Now I know she has higher bosses so she must be very careful of what she says - anyhow QS is owned by Mr. Barker who also owns the Radisson so the cruisers who are staying there, have the same priviledges as those staying at the Radisson - you drive your car to the Radisson and you are given the shuttle ride to the port and you can park your car there - as for the "free breakfast" - it has been stopped and now you are offered contintnal breakfast like coffee, orange juice and donuts - I told Michelle the web site is misleading and the amenities should be changed as to what is offered - I found it kinda hard to speak to her so I am going to stop by Monday and explain more fully - Now the hotel is really pretty and is in a nice area so a lot has to be considered.
Will let you know what I find out ok.
Give the family my best ok
Always
Shirley

you've both been away far too long.. I hope you're here to stay ::yes::

Hey Rae,
Welcome back - ok The catholic church is EXALTY 2 blocks North of Duval Street and on the corner of Winslow Lane and Truman Avenue - this church is as old as old can be - at one time part of the old convent that is now no longer there, housed and nursed all the soldiers that were sick with malaria fever - hundreds died - anyhow St Mary's Star of the Sea is very very pretty - it hasn't changed since I was a member - that was the church for about 90% of the conchs.

Hope all is well with everybody - we are well here
Luv ya all
Always
Shirley

Let me tell you, Shirley's Key Lime Pie is too die for!!! I wish I had one of her pies here right now!!! I guess I will have to wait until next August, huh Shirley???

ok it is north of me. I live east of Krome at around SW 184 St and 122 Ave near Larry and Penny Thompson Park. The Seminole Gaming Casino is up at Tamiami Trail and Krome. There is another good stand going towards the Everglades west of Krome and Just south of Palm Ave in Homestead called Robert Is Here.
Don't worry about English as I speak Spanish as well.
Make you real jealous. I bought a bunch of key limes this week and will be making real key lime pie soon.

...cause this pie discussion has my mouth watering, but I do have a questions for Shirley.

First, welcome back Shirley!! It great to have you back - I always enjoy reading your posts.

My question is regarding Avis. A while back there were some posts up that complained about the terrrible service now that Avis moved from the Radisson. You were kind enough to look into it and give us some perspective.

We're on the New Year's Eve Magic and wanted to get a sense of whether things have improved at all - Are the shuttles running more efficiently, do the computers work, etc?? Any insights woud be appreciate - and lessen my anxiety around using Avis.

Thanks, Shirley - as always it's truly appreciated.

Michele:crazy:
