I read the following earlier. What confuses me is that I was under the impression that the pilots would have to ok this before it went to the judge.
Is that right or have I missed something. To the experts, can you explain this once more? Thanks
Delta: Strike threat cost millions
Delta Air Lines acknowledged for the first time on Tuesday that the threat of a strike by its pilots had cost the carrier millions, The Associated Press reports. That acknowledgment came in a bankruptcy court filing in which the carrier asked the court to approve the tentative deal that Delta ultimately reached with the pilots union. The agreement calls for about $280 million in annual contract concessions, and will be voted by pilots union members by the end of the month. "Even the threat of a pilot strike was costing Delta millions of dollars per week in lost sales, as concerned passengers and shippers booked flights on other airlines," Delta said in the filing, making its case to the bankruptcy judge that the court should give its OK to the tentative pact.
