Comments are welcome.
DH and I are celebrating our 9th anniversary. We came to Disney on our honeymoon and simply couldn't wait until the traditional 10 years to return!
Way back in 1997 we shared many wonderful meals in places we'd jump to return to, but there are so many restaurants we want to try I'm not duplicating any. We enjoyed Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki and the San Angel Inn very much on that trip. I have also been to the Coral Reef already and Le Cellier seems like too much of a hassle to try, so those aren't on the agenda. (We both love steak, but we know enough about restaurants to realize if a place gets *that* popular there are going to be problems with service and getting seated. We are impatient sorts.)
I also tried to schedule dinners in or near the parks we plan on visiting that day. Although we have park-hoppers and may return to CSR for afternoon rests, I wanted to make sure that if we do stay to dinnertime we won't be rushing all over Disney. Breakfasts will be either snack credits or my regular soy milk, cereal, and small glass of oj stashed in our room fridge.
Day one: AK
Lunch- Sharing a combo at either Flametree or Tusker House= 1CS (I read the portions are huge, so we'll do fine with one combo.)
Go to CSR to checkin, rest
Dinner- California Grill= 4TS (This is our quasi-anniversary dinner, 12 years after our first date. We didn't get the time for fireworks, but I decided to live with it and enjoy the food.)
Day two: MGM
Lunch= 2CS (I'm not trying to plan DH to death! We'll eat whereever we fancy.)
Dinner- Mama Melrose's=2TS (We may end up paying out of pocket for this one if we decide to eat TS an additional time.)
Day three: Magic Kingdom
Lunch- Cosmic Rays or Noodle Station=2CS
Dinner- Kona Cafe=2TS (I love Pan-Asian and DH loves desserts. This place sounds perfect!)
Day four: Epcot
Lunch=2CS (Somewhere in the "world" or maybe the Land's food court.)
Dinner- Chefs de France=2TS (This is our official anniversary and I've read this place is a bit noisy/crowded, but it's gorgeous and I like the menu. I tried getting ressies at Bistro de Paris upstairs, but they don't take the Dining Plan.)
Day five: free day- mini golf- boating- Cirque de Soleil
Lunch- Pepper Market sharing one combo= 1CS (Again, the servings are HUGE.)
Dinner- Planet Hollywood w/ one free meal voucher from travel agent. (We may change our minds on this one- not sure yet. 2 for 1 is a good deal only if the food is decent.)
Day six: Last chance for rides!
Lunch=2CS whereever we end up
Drive home.
All this planning was much more difficult than I expected! It's bad enough to think about what you'll want to be eating in six months, it's another to try and jibe that with where you'll be in the parks, your resort, etc.
Take care, all, and happy travels.
