How many adults bring a special stuffed animal or other toy to the parks with them for picture taking opportunities?

When I was five I received a small stuffed dog (who I named Corky). He started going on vacation with me as a kid, and continued until recently. I have pictures of him from just about every vacation we took together. I remember Chewbacca trying to eat him, he lost an ear at Epcot (I replaced it the best I could), and have countless memories of our travels together.

About two years ago I saw his stitches were ripping and his fabric was shredding, so I stopped taking him on vacation with me. I feel bad leaving him behind, but I don't want him to fall apart.

But how many others have a special fabric or plastic friend that goes on vacation with them?

I don't take them to the parks, but when we drove in 2003, my beanbag Mickey and Minnie rode in the back window and Tigger and Pooh went along too. It was pretty neat because the maid made a "swing" out of leis and towels up between the beds at the Poly and put them all on it! On our trip in 2005 we flew and space was limited so only Tigger (my favorite) went along. He'll be with us on our next trip in Sept too. :tigger:

I guess we're all kids at heart, especially when it comes to Disney!!

I must admit....as a 30 something adult I still have my "woobee"....my baby blanket...that is almost ripped to shreds. Although I don't take it with me anymore or sleep with it. It still sits on my bed.

Ok.. a 50 something and 1/2 here. A few years ago I took my stuffed Mickey, and the housekeeper mentioned that he must be lonely when I go out to the parks, so I just had to buy a Pluto stuffed animal. Now they are together each trip I go on.

And when I get back to resort, they are usually in some kind of mischief!!

I got the nickname Goofy by showing up for summer camp staff with a little Goofy doll. He goes with on just about all of my journeys. I don't take him with me in the parks, or out sight seeing, but he's there waiting to cuddle with at the end of the day.

23 year old male college student btw

This is Ralph.

Ralph has been traveling with my husband and I for years. We call him the Good Night Sheep. How can you expect to have a good vacation without a Good Night Sheep? Bad joke, I know, but Ralph goes with us anyway. Mousekeeping has a blast with him. We've found him watching TV, working on my laptop (got to remember to put that away next time) and answering the phone.

well Spicey is a real cat - but he definitely goes with me everywhere.... :rotfl:

does the new Mickey Pal count???? :goodvibes

I take two things:
-my bean bag tigger
-a satin edged pillowcase to simulate my 'B' from when I was a kid.

I have no shame in this. I don't see any reason to grow up any faster than I already am.

28 year old female here

Yeah - We started with a stuffed cat named Miles (Miles from home - get it?). Miles has since "married" a mouse named Millicent. They go everywhere with us. We have some great pictures of them in different spots around the world (the actual world - not just Disney World). :)

I have a stuffed Winnie the Pooh that received on the day I was born. He still goes on vacation with me, but not into the parks. He's on his third nose, four or five sets of eyebrows, and at least six different smiles. 30 year old who just isn't ready to grow up and not bring Pooh with me. My parents joked that Mom would have to add a little sack on the inside of a Wedding Dress for Pooh to ride in. Again Housekeeping has had some fun with him. He's been wearing an extra pair of sunglasses and has also been tucked into the bed. Thanks for making me think of him, and looking forward to our 7 day Land and Sea Cruise.

I have animals that go on vacation with me as well as some that protect my car. I have a Build-a-bear Bear that used to travel with me on my business trips. He stayed in the room while I was in meetings and got tired of this so stopped travelling with me about a year ago. He goes to Girl Scout camp with me and keeps me company in my office. I currently have a Tigger, moose, tiny eagle (on top of my rearview mirror), and smiley face that protects my car.

I just got myself a Pal Mickey and he will be going with me everywhere to get pictures in the future (not just Disney). He just went on my recent business trip and went to dinner with me & a friend. The place was suggested by another Pal Mickey lover so I just had to take him.

There is another Girl Scout leader who has a travelling bear. He has his own backpack with diary and camera. He goes with her friends, family & neighbors on their trips. She asks that they write in his diary and take pictures wherever they are going. She has some really cool photo albums with the info. He has been to many countries and most of the states. I always thought it was a cool idea.

I don't have anyting from my childhood.....

However, DH has a stuffed dog by the name of "Tote". I was a little surprised after being introduced to him when we were setting up our things in our first apartment. Twenty years later, "Tote" has never gone anywhere with us but he's still in the closet. I look at him every once in a while and think of DH as a little boy with his stuffed toy. :p

You know I am ashamed to say my traveling animal has never been to Disney World. As you can tell by his name (Vegas Bear) he only has one destination in mind. But we do take pic's of him all over the strip. Of course Pal Mickey was in almost every single picture from our last trip to WDW but when we had our pic taken with Donald he grabbed him and stuck him behind his back. Apparently Mr. Duck does not want to share the spotlight with even a stuffed Mickey. For those of you who think we are all a little nuts, try it. The pic's are just too funny when you get home and it is a great way to meet others because everyone wants to know why the heck you are taking a pic of a stuffed animal sitting on the bench on Main Street.

I have a stuffed bear that i have had since i was a baby (named Bear, how creative)...never have taken it on vacation, but it still sits on my bed every day (and im 21 years old and in college)

I have Bear and he's been to WDW just as much as I have. I'm 28 y.o. married and Bear still sleeps on our bed at home. My DH has been known to give him a snuggle when he's having a rough day. :lmao:

I used to bring a Gumby & Pokey along on trips and to parties. I grew out of that when I turned 40!

I have a stuffed animal I sleep with (along with the DH and two cats I sleep with! - it's crowded!). I haven't taken it to WDW, but I did take it on a solo business trip for comfort (I use it as a pillow half the night). :)

I have a stitch that I take with me to WDW & DL. He's been to MNSSHP in costume & also to MVMCP. He rode EE during passholder previews. He's made friends with a few cast members who he visits on each trip. I tried to copy a picture to post but I'm having trouble with it.
