Now that Pete says that the meet is at Swan/Dolphin, where do you think that you will stay?

I am perplexed. We just bought at BC and my original intent was to stay there since DIS CON was going to be there and to check out the new place.

Now I am not so sure, since it will be me and DSister Linda (no kids) I am tempted to try Boardwalk villas (we will be in a studio) because when I go with my kids in May '03 (and in the future) we will definitely need to stay at the BCV because of Stormalong Bay.....

The BCVs do have an advantage in that they are closer to EPCOT so we have less distance to stagger home after DATW!!!

What are your plans?

Karen!!!

THANKS

:D

We stayed at BWV for DIS-CON I and it was perfect. Just walked over to Yacht club for activities. The Swan / Dolphin is even closer to BWV.

The only caution about a studio is that they book very early so if it's not your home resort or you don't already have reservations you might have to count on the waitlist.

I'm tempted to make reservations just in case I'm able to go.

Well, because I couldn't wait any longer I went ahead and booked at BCV. So that's where I'll be for the actual convention. I have to wait until May to call for the extra days I want. I may try to switch over to the BWV. I'm not sure yet. As long as I have points, I can't justify paying for a room a the Swan/Dolphin, as much as I would like to. I do know Dayna tried to get into the BWV for the convention dates and they were already booked. I'm not sure if she was trying for the studio or the 1 bedroom, though. So, if you decide to stay at the BCV, I'll be there with my sister, too. :D :D :D

I forgot to say that those nights that we left Jellyrolls and Kimino's late and had to walk back to the YC, were some of most beautiful nights. I know Marsha agrees with me on this one. We both enjoyed the lights, the lack of people, the beautiful warm weather, and the peace and quiet of the walk back. So if I'm at the BCV, my walk will be a little longer, which won't be so bad at all. And, yes, we will be closer to EPCOT!! LOL

I have ressies right now at BC...

How about I let DS Linda decide?

As already stated, I may not be able to get in BWV so it may not be an option!!!!!

Glad to know that some folks are still staying at BC!!!!

:D

Our home is VWL. So we have ressies already for there. We are considering trying to get BWV. I think alot of folks will be trying for BCV. I may ask which may have and go that way not sure. If need be we will stay at VWL.:)

I've booked a studio at OKW (my home resort) for Dec 2-9. Next month, I'll try to move it over to BWV or BCV (which I don't have too high hopes of getting). I drove from OKW last year so it won't upset me if I'm there again.

<font face="comic sans ms"> Okay. Here's the scoop from the Dumbo Household. ;) I called on January 17 to make ressies at BWV for a one-bedroom standard view for December 1-16. Well, even though I was only a week late all of the standard views were already gone for December 1-8. So, I made my ressies for the 8-16. I hate to pay for a preferred view. So, I am on a waiting list for the 1-8, and I have the 8-16 booked. I guess I will probably stay at the Swolphin from the 1-8 unless the waitlist comes through. It is going to leave me with a problem though. I will have 135 (I think) points that I will have to use by November 30, 2003. Oh, well. I guess I will end up going again.

I guess the moral of this post is that the first week is December goes quickly. I guess for next year I will call day by day. ***

*** Patrick actually advised me to do that. I didn't listen. :(

I arrive on Sunday and will be at OKW until Wed when I move to the Beach Club. I have a studio. I may try and move the whole week to BCV at the 7 month window, but if I don't get it no big deal.

Dayna, I've got points to use, too. So I'm hoping to use those to add my additional days to my existing reservation at the BCV. Why don't you try for the BCV for the days you need?

Sounds like the night of the 3rd we need to have an OKW meet!!!! I'll be at OKW on the 3rd and 8th (our home resort and we have a few points to get used up). Then I'm moving to wherever my roomie says I'm moving to!!!! Can't wait till she gets home now so we can make more plans!!! Or maybe we should have a Downtown Disney meet on the 3rd for those coming in or getting there before the 4th!!! Hmmmmm.......

Maybe one of these days I'll be a DVC owner.

I got to stay at Old Key West Resort two-bedroom last year, and it was absolutely wonderful.

Ray :)

right now OKW Dec 1-6, 6-9 VWl, 9 BWV

I will probably try to get the BCV for some of the time.

If you were want the first two weeks in December - you better call every day - too many DVC don't have children and really like to be there - it is beautiful, there is alot of do, and all the special shows. plus this is when the DVC has it annual meeting.

I'm on a BWV waitlist, but have POFQ reserved as a backup. I hope to have some nice new BCV points soon, so that may be an option! :)

Iwas going to try and switch my BWV ressies to BCV at my 7 month window, but since I saw it was probably going to be at the(as Tia likes to say) Swalphin... I think I am going to keep mine at the BWV.
