Ok we leave saturday!

But I am getting worried, I cant deceide which touring plan to follow! I have read many threads about this. But still cant deceide .

It will be me, DH, our kids 5,3, plus our friends in their 30's with a 5 and almost 3 year old.
My first instinct is to head straight to fantasy land and do all those rides early.
But then I read that you should do Indy early, and get FP's for splash, HM, pirates.
Given the age of the kids what would you do? Plus, I just know I am going to get confused by the lay out of everything!! I am going to think I am in MK!

Also, what time does toon town open? Is it at the same time as the park or later?

With the age your kids are, I would definitely do Fantasyland first. Are you going to be there for more than one day? If so you can do one area first one day and then switch game plans for the next day. Another idea is that you and the kids can head to Fantasyland and start riding while your husband runs over and fastpasses for Indy. Your kids are probably too young for that one anyway and they might get frustrated not getting to ride anything early on. In my experience Fantasyland fills up fast and stays that way. Just remember you can't make a mistake at Disneyland as long as you are having fun! I don't know about the opening of Toontown but I know it closes early. Call Disneyland's direct number to get the info on that one.

Kind of depends on how long you will be there, but if I was your tour guide and I decided what to do I would do the following. It worked for me in May with my 6 and 4 year old. (I don't know what you plan on doing with your kids while you ride Indy/Splash, but here is the plan)

We learned to get there early, about 1/2 hour and get in the line farthest to the right. There will be lines that open later, to the right, and you can jump ship. (IF you are paying attention you could end up first in one of these lines.) They open lines that say "Exit" by spinning the sign to "Entrance" minutes before opening. It worked every day for us.

With your group you might send a "Dad" to run to Critter Country and grab everyone an FP for Splash or Indy and then catch up with you in FL. Walkie talkies work nicely for this, plus Dad won't get much out of the DL rides anyway.

IF they have the extra 30 min get through the bridge quick and see Minnie/Mickey before the park opens, this will save LOTS of time waiting to see them later. IF not then quickly to FL for Dumbo. You want to do this ride early. Then other FL rides of interest. You should be able to get in about 5 of them before heading to the opening of Toontown that opened(when we were there) 1 hour after the park. Then you can do RRCTS with as well as the GO Coaster. then look around Toontown.

You might want to buy the Unofficial Guide, they give great thoughts and actually tell you what to do. We did the "Dumbo" plan or something and it worked great. We actually have 5 day park hoppers, but will only do the parks 3 days (probably).
We are thinking Mon, tues and friday. So we should have plenty of time, I hope!!
I just feel out of my element, so used to WDW now!!

Since you have more days I wouldn't be too concerned with the "Adult Wants" the first day. I didn't hit Indy until my family decided to go to the parade.

I would definitely do FL then Toontown. IF you get to Toontown to early you could probably walk on IASW.

BUY The Unofficial Guide. It will give you touring plans that work and lots of info about each ride. I enjoyed reading the ride summaries while waiting in line.
