Since these FP are linked together, why cant you create custom FP.

Say I am at Epcot (2 pm)but I want to see the 6:40 showing of the new stunt show at MGM. I would have to go all the way to MGM to get a FP and that would be the only thing I care to see and hope they still have one available.

This would help in planning your day out as well. Heck make it available to Disney resort guest. I am sure if they are linked it wouldn't take must to create a kiosk where you slide your room key through ,press what park, then what ride, then have a time selection 3 buttons and your done.

Problem: Can't you only hold 2-3 fast passes at a time? It would be great to do this but then everyone at their resorts would eat up all the tickets and everyone would be out of luck at the park...

Great idea though..

Very cool idea, I never thought of that. It's kind of like call ahead seating at a restaurant.
Add villains meals and boys character meals to my list of wants.

Villain Meals would be the coolest! That would be so awesome! :cool1:

I WANT! Of course they would have to maximillian flying about!

I agree with the boys charachter meals and villians at meals too but not the Fastpass thing. I like that it's first come first serve. If you want to do soemthing that day, then be in that park and make sure you are there on time. I'll akin this to saving spots in line, you know when one person is there and 15 try to join them when it's their turn. No go for me!

I thought that there was a villians meal? What happened to the one at the GF?

Ditto that. If you want a FP to a particular ride, go to that ride and pick one up. IMO, no one should be able to get a FP for ride they're not at. I mean, if I wanted to lounge around all day in the resort, but ride later on in the day, should I be able to get a FP from the resort? What if I'm not at a Disney resort? What if I'm driving to the park, but am stuck in traffic? What if I'm on the plane to Orlando and want to ride the ride later that day? Just seems silly to me.

That is exactly my point on making it for resort guest. You get the luxurys for staying on site. Don't see what is has to do with skipping in line, I agree this shouldn't be done. But they issue so many FP for each time period. All I am saying is include these in those time periods. So basically what you 2 are saying is FP should be done away with all together, cause if I am not standing there persay I am standing 1 mile away from there I shouldn't be allowed to get one? Cause basically FP are skipping in line. Am I understanding you 2 correct?

And I am not talking about having them at the hotel though that would be a good idea. But I am saying make them availabe in the park to hotel guest. Heck they can put a limit on them. I am not talking about taking the FP away from everyone esle. I am just saying give the resort guest some special privelages to them. Say they give away 500 FP for a hour (9pm-10pm) time slot to Space Mountain. Well make 75 of them available to resort guest and I can pick them up at Epcot at 7pm while I am waiting for illuminations. And if the 75 are already gone then you are out of luck. You have to choose a different time frame or do whatever. These # are exaggeration but I hope you see what I am saying.

I like the idea of having them at the resort or at the very least at the front of the park or several locations within the park. I hate having to go all the way to the back of the park to get a fast pass for kiliminjaro safari when I have no intention of riding it at that time, hence the fast pass. It is a long walk back there for no other reason than to get the pass to come back later. The same goes for many other rides.

My, how spoiled we've become!! I know it's 2005, but c'mon, who wants their day to be that planned out? "At 2pm I want to ride Peter Pan and then at 2:23 we can go on Dumbo..." That's a) a little too planned and b) just takes all the fun out of walking up to Peter Pan and seeing an hour wait and deciding to keep walking to HM and being suprised by no wait.

What's next - having people ride the rides for you? :sad2:

I don't mind the idea of putting generic FP at several locations throughout the park that will give out FP for all rides in that park, but I don't think they should give out FP for rides in other parks. I think it's far too likely that someone will forget about it, decide not to use, not get there in time, whatever, which means someone at that ride's park is out a FP because someone in another park got it and didn't use it. I think Disney's resources are best directed elsewhere.

I like the idea of a character meal for boys, maybe a toy story meal with woody, buzz, and some of the green army men, or the power rangers??? I'm against the FP that can be picked up in different areas of the parks, for different parks than the one you're in or for resort guests only though - If you're actually willing to walk all the way over to a ride to pick up the fast pass, there's a better chance you'll show up to use the fast pass as well. To select all your fast passes for the day, or for different parks etc... I think many of the FP spots will go empty leaving other guests shut out and Disney has way too many hotels (and hotel guests) to make it for resort guests only. Getting a FP would be just as difficult as trying to get into Cinderella's castle for breakfast.

Yeah, Disney has to be careful how simple they make it to get a FP. I agree with the logic that if you're going to walk all the way to Kilimanjaro to get one, there's more likely of a chance you'll return to use it. If you make it easy to get FP for various rides-- especially when you're not even in that park-- I think you'll see the unused FP rate skyrocket. Then that makes the whole system rather useless. It'll be 9am and FP for Test Track is 9pm.

I would like the boys character breakfast though.

I think that too many of the people that I am passing in line as I go to the front of the fast pass line will now have a better oppurtunity to get the passes. I enjoy being the beneficiary of all the people that for some reason do not take advantage of the fast pass machines. If you make them too accessable to everyone then all of us who plan ahead and do our homework to make sure we get to do everything we want to do at disney will be punished. People that have no idea how to use the machines now, will start to use them just because of how convenient they are. So in conclusion, I like the way fast pass is now.

If this plan ever sees the light of day it would have to be a Resort Guest only perk. The kiosk could not be in a park, too much confusion would result when non-resort guests tried to use it. A kiosk could be placed in the lobby of each resort. A limit would have to be placed on the number of fast passes a resort quest could get per day [I would suggest 4 or 5 as the daily limit, with no more then 2 per park]. I think a plan like this has a real chance to work and if Disney markets this as a Resort guest only perk [like Universals FOTL] they could lure some off site people to on site resorts thus making more money.

I guess some of you have never been during peak season. Cause majority of FP are gone before 2pm for the rest of the day and thats is when the parks are open till 11pm Think all of those are being used?

Once again I am not talking about doing away with or allowing you to have 400 FP for one day. And yes it is a convience thing. Eactly the point I used in the first place. I am at Epcot I spent my hole day at Epcot and I am only there 2 days but I would like to see the Stunt Show. So now I have to take 3 hour or more out of my day just to watch one show. Or heck just do like Universal Studios and allow all hotel guest front of the line privalage when walking up. There that will be simpler and guess wont cant get abused. But I would think Disney would want more of a control on the situation. Thats why I was thinking FP.
