When we were at MK last summer, there was a special patio section right down from the Plaza Rest that you needed tickets to get into to watch the fireworks at night over the castle. How do you get them??

I believe certain packages at the time qualified - i.e. the Dream Maker Silver Plan, Gold Plan, etc. (not necessarily just AAA).

Hmmmmm, that is interesting, the sign there says Triple A only (at least as of last weekend anyway), but maybe there is something I don't know...

Our trip is Oct 13-24 and we bought our package thru AAA. This is the first time we bought a package, and did so because of the dining option. None of the AAA literature mentions anything about this in the list of perks. How can I find out more?

Bump!

We will be there Oct. 14-23 on a AAA package and we want the scoop, too! (I don't think the AAA agent is all that well-versed in Disney AND I think she is tired of me calling, so better for me to already KNOW when I call her.) ;)

I would like to know too.
We are going October 3-11 and my AAA agent did't even know about the free dining package so I had to tell her about it.
Any info someone give us will be much appreciated.
Thanks :flower:

Would this include purchasing room only through AAA discount, or does it have to be an actual AAA package?

We've watched Wishes from there twice. When you booked the old DreamMaker packages you got vouchers for preferred viewing for Illuminations, Wishes, and the AK parade. You needed to call in advance (at least a day) and show your voucher at the rope. Couldn't tell you about AAA since we haven't booked through them.

Funny thing is last December we were able to sit there and we had not booked any kind of package with anybody. We thought it was great for my 78 year old mom to be able to sit and watch Wishes. Must have been in between the Dream maker and the AAA requirement switch over. Irritates me that everytime I find a good viewing spot for fireworks at any park, it isn't long before that becomes a special spot for specific groups. Belonging to DVC, I don't ever book a package,so I never have the opportunity to have access. I want a special place for DVC owners!

I hate they have started roping off this area. This was always my families favorite place to watch the fireworks! :charac2:
