ok advice please folks!ongoing booking saga!

hi all
sorry but me and my on going booking saga is starting to hit a glitch so can anyone give me their 2 ps worth!ok have sort of booked with t.cook sig to stay at dlh in a afamily room in march 2007 but tcsig won`t let me put a deposit down on this trip as they say disney havn`t released room allocation to travel agents yet for these rooms.after speaking to tcsig again today they say that they will def have allocation by the end of july , i could book with disney direct but its another £200 and when we`re paying just over £2000 already then its getting silly ,i`m worried that by the tiem tcsig get room alocation all the rooms will either be booked up or all the kids free places will ahve gone so do i hang on till end of july or should i start thinking about going somewhere else and paying the extra bcos if all the dlh rooms are booked and we need a family room then n.bay have ven less than dlh ? hope that makes sense and what do you all think?

hiya, this is a hard one, if it was me and I would panic and book with Disney Direct, though I am surprised they are more expensive than TCS.

End of July is not that long away I guess and the brochures will have only just become available, though won't be on the shelves in TA yet.

On the other hand I don't think that Disney will not allocate them any of these rooms, as I doubt they want too upset the big TO who sell a lot of there packages.

I agree it's a hard decision to make. How heartbroken would you be if you couldn't get a family room at the DLH? However I would think you will be safe to wait until the end of July, until the new brochures are on the shelves the majority of people won't know about the DLH family rooms.

thanks i think i`ll risk it and wait till then,probably find the guy at tcsig just made up the end of july to shut me up!!!
the moment i get this darn trip booked i`ll have the biggest ticker ever so huge those on dial up will get page not displayed!!!(only joking dial up users!)

ITS BOOKED!!!ok really booked not t/cook pretend to be booked but actually confirmed!!slight change of plan as i had a phone call from tc today while on a coach with 30 odd 3-4 yrs old on the way to a wildlife park so it wasn`t the time to get stroppy but basically they told me that it wasn`t going to be confirmed for at least another 3 weeks so i called them when i came home and got a quote for 2 standard rooms with hopefully interconnecting door ,they have quoted me £38 more for this option but they can book it immediately so woo hoo!!!and thinking about it 2 rooms is probably the best option anyway as the myself and hubby get abit of privacy but now i have a new worry for you all......whats the chance of not getting 2 interconnecting rooms?!!!!thxs guys for persevering with me on this one!!

I'd check that it says this on your booking confirmation, then perhaps a week before you go telephone or email the hotel direct.

How lovely!! Personally speaking, two separate rooms sounds like a much nicer option to me - especially for only £38 more.

I agree with Elaine - get in touch with the hotel before you go.

apparently it says on my invoice that 2 interconecting rooms are requested and i shall be phoning them the week before ans emailing dlh the week before to double check this!!can you imagine my notes on the booking with tcsig "stroppy customer,....phoned again still not happy,.....phoned again completely changed her booking!"awww..bless em,although my strict policy is if you create enough of a stink you always get what you want(thats after 9 yrs of three kids..they`ve drummed that into me!)
the saga goes on although come march next year i will be posting pics of our connecting rooms just ot prove that i actually made it ,just got to keep my dh away from the doors now as he crushed him thumb in the bathroom door within 30 mins of being in our cabin at the davy crockett ranch and had to survive on 1 childs dose of ibrufen a day for 4 days and then drive back to peterborough!hence why we are not driving next year
