Im just looking on Travel City direct and seen a few good prices come up, has anyone booked through them before? Are they good to go with?

The hotel i am looking at with them is the International Plaza Resort and Spa on international drive, has anyone stayed there or know anything of it? Read some reviews, seem really good and pics look nice too!

I dont know why but i am just wary of booking it on an internet site, am i better going in to a travel agents? :confused3

Thanks for any replies!

Travel City Direct are a trading name now owned by Virgin, so you should be safe.

Personally I prefer booking direct with Virgin Holidays, first time I booked through Going Places - utter disaster, the name on the tickets was spelt wrong. Free dining plan for my daughter was withdrawn after booking, also Disney Passes that I had booked were suddenly no longer available, me thinks the price had gone up and Going Places had not booked them so did not want to honour them.

This time I booked direct with Virgin Holidays, using £407.50 Tesco Vouchers, this gave me £1,640 off the holiday. I did an online dummy booking first, to work out the best deal for us (minus any online discount, as you cannot apply any discounts when using the Tesco deals). By switching flights out to the one 2 hours later saved us £300. If you go to a travel agent or book on the phone the poor staff do not have the time or inkling to tweak a booking to get you the best deal. That is why I do a dummy booking first, changing the dates and times of flights to see how it affects the cost.

Any more questions then just fire away and I will try and help. I have Disney notes for first timers, if you can send me a personal message of your email address I will attach them and send them to you. If you are good at cryptic messages my email is the same as someone in Cold Play with a dot in between @tiscali.co.uk I have previously posted my email address only to have it removed:confused3

Kind regards
Chris
:yay:
