Ok- I have always heard that April is the dreaded month for crowds. All the CM's I have talked to have warned me, and it makes sense. But we just booked a last minute trip the 1st- 10th anyways. I just went on last week- only 35 days out, and booked all the ADR's I wanted. I have also checked resort availablity by seeing which ones can still be booked, and it seems very open still. Maybe crowds are different because Easter is so late? Am I just in denial?

I sure hope your not delusional! We are making our first trip the same time you are. I am hoping that the crowds are not terrible with Easter being so late.

Me too- just seems odd that it wouldn't be busy. But ADR's at 35 days out is usually terrible, and we got Chef Mickey, 1900 PF, Tusker House, ETC. We usually go in Sept., and last year I tried to make a reservation because we added a day, and there was NOTHING at 55 days out. We have seen Disney at its worst (we went Christmas week and MK was at max. attend.), so I guess it won't be that bad- looks good so far (fingers crossed)

I am there as well, 4/1-4/9 POFQ. I do April every year, usually the end of April, after Easter has passed. This year since Easter is later, I decided to book before Easter since I prefer the April weather as opposed to May. I think we will be ok if we use the Touring Plans Crowd Calendar as our guide and hit the parks right as they open.

I too think it is amazing I have been able to change my ressies less than 28 days when we arrive for places that usually book up, but maybe a lot of families will be hitting the counters.

At any rate enjoy, we will have fun no matter what :)!

I had an easy time with ADRs as well .. I thought I was just getting lucky. Maybe it will be lighter than we are anticipating!

Speaking of weather... what can we expect? Everything I read said about 75-80

I just booked for the first week of April 3 weeks ago. Rom choices were plentiful. I was looking for a suite and the family suites at All Star were available. Went with OKW 1 bedroom.

Dining was easy to get and at good times. Le Cellier, Jiko, Raglan Road, Cystal Palace, Hoop De Doo, Ohana's and Chef Mickey. All right at the times we wanted.

Also able to book the Wishes Dessert Party and get both my kids into the Pirate League experience.

While I am not going to be stupid and expect low crowds, I am thinking we will have one of the lighter "extended spring break" weeks.

Personally I think that free dining is what really sucks up all of the ADRs - so by going at a busier time when they're not offering free dining, you may still have bad crowds to deal with but you can get plenty of ADRs. We're flying down a week from today and I have been making regular changes to our ADRs and having really no problem getting what I want! But I am a little fearful of the crowds...

We are going the first week of April also! :) It's spring break for us. Most kids will be back in school, ours has a late spring break, which I am very glad!! I know it will be busy, but I am hoping it wont be crazy "SPRING BREAK CRAZY". LOL

I am hoping you are right, but just saw they extended the park hours and I have friends there now and they say it is INSANE!:scared1:
