Hi 18 days to go until we sail on our first cruise
Anyway am into silly mode and thinking of things I haven't asked or have seen posted before :goodvibes
So when you board the ship and they ask you your names do you give them all your first names, or do you say the ***** family from ****?
See I told you I had silly questions.
Seeing that the 3 day cruise does not have the pirate menu in the restaurant can you still wear your pirate attire in the restaurants (especially if your rotation is in tritons)or do you wait until after you have eaten?

Thanks for now

When we went we gave our kids names 5&3 and they got a real big kick out of it.

Its good to know you can give your first name, our DD would just be tickled. In the past we have given last names, one cruise his and the next mine.

You can tell them whatever you want. We have done the X and Y family (blended family) from Z (state) and we have done A, B and C (first names) from Z.

Of course this happens very quickly as you are first boarding the ship, and there is a lot of stimulation hitting at once, so I would do something to be sure that the kids are paying attention or they could miss it. You are literally stepping onboard into the main lobby and lots of people, noise, color and "wow" factor. Half of my family was unaware of our family's introduction on our first cruise! :flower:

I did not notice anyone wearing Pirate attire at dinner. I don't think any one would think you were particularly "out of place" if you did, since the Navigator indicated that night was pirate night, but I don't remember seeing anyone dressed "pirate" in the dining room.

:wave2: It is me......We all get a big hit hearing our family name being announced. Seeing as we are (or at least me :teeth: ) obsessive about being one of the first to board, we hear it very clearly, and loudly...

On our last cruise, we saw many many people dressed up in their Pirate attire at dinner...They looked awesome.. pirate:

Wow 18 days to go...Good for you guys....

Enjoy...and.......REbook onboard.. :earseek:

Are they doing pirate night on West Coast?? What do you wear and do? If no one else in your party wants to dress up will you feel out of place???

Just for clarity -- I believe the OP is talking about the three-day cruise, not the seven-day where there is a pirate menu and many diners dress in pirate attire. I don't recall a single person dressed "pirate" at dinner on our three-day cruise last month.

So do you have to dress up in pirate attire for dinner??Does everyone? I don't want to be out of place, but if there are only a few, I don't want to be the only one dressed up at my table, with the rest of my family who doesn't like to dress up. I would LOVE too, but I don't want to be the only one. Also, if I did Palo's for dinner, last time we did brunch, which night would you miss for rotation dinning. Judy
