I was reading in WW thread something about the need to add oil to foods -- what is that about? What kind of oil, how much? How does it help with weight loss. If someone could fill me in on what they are saying at WW I'd greatly appreciate it!

Generally speaking,they are talking about olive oil, canola oil, or other heart healthy oils, because they have vitamin E and monounsaturated (good) fat.

Here's what the WW website says:
"4. Have some healthy oil (olive, canola, sunflower, safflower, or flaxseed) each day. This habit ensures that you get the essential fatty acids and vitamin E that your body needs. Use the oil on salads, in cooking, or as an ingredient in a mixed dish. "

So use olive oil (or whatever one you like) in salad dressing or to saute something- just remember to count the points.
