i just read on allseastravel.com that the magic will be in dry dock october 1-14, 2005. we are booked on the 10/01/05 cruise. does anyone have any info on this?? thanks! UPDATE: we have been booked on the October 15, 05 magic w/the same quote and same staterooms(the best part)as the original cruise. we couldn't be happier w/the results!! seems DCL has thrown a bunch of us for a loop. hang-in there everyone; it will work out. and don't let your frustrations get the best of you. the agents at allseastravel.com were already working on this situation when we called. they had us covered!!

There was a thread on here about the Magic going to drydock the first two weeks of October 2005 about two weeks ago.

i just wonder why we were not contacted from the travel agency. and what will "they" do w/us? hopefully, we will be able to get on the 15th sailing at the same price we have reserved. i am not too happy right now w/allseastravel.

This was announced around 5/18. Since it's so far in advance, DCL doesn't offer anything for the guests who are inconvenienced.

Your only option is to change the dates. :(

will our quote by honored? or will we have to pay any difference? BTW, we were in wdw when this was announced. and still why like to know why no word from the travel agency--no phone call or email. can you tell i am a little ticked about this??!!

honestly, if your travel agent hasn't contacted you..I would get quotes for new dates from someone else..if price is good..cancel with the old agent all together. That agent would get no more business from me.

Hi Disneyqueen:
I'm surprised that someone from All Seasons didn't contact you. I've always received an email and/or a phone call (even if it is a message on my machine) when there is a concern or question about one of our cruises.
What did they say when you called them about this?

Cheers,
Grumbo

Did I miss something? I though the magic just got back from dry dock in 2003? And ships go in every 3 years right???

din, i read in the thread the verandah man reforms to that is it is requirement that all cruise ships go into drydock every other year. every other year is correct, isn't it?

I stand corrected. Somehow I had three years in my mind!!

They have to dry dock twice in 5 yrs apparantly. The Magic was in dry dock in 2000, and 2003 - so presumably they need to go in 2005 - as stated. Think they will NEED it after 2 repo cruises! Nat:Pinkbounc
