DAY 4 Animal Kingdom & MGM (Fantasmic) Thursday

WHOOOSH!… :earseek: Dang!… do our neighbors not know we were out late for EMH @ the MK.. Now I have thoughts of setting my alarm periodically throughout the night and POTTY WOOSHING them awake!.. Cup-o-Joe & fruit bars in the room, and of to the AK we go!

There was a line for the bus and I’m going to tread thin ice with the next observation so be gentle with me! :rolleyes1 Three row wait for the bus line and a family. I’ll call them the “Rollers” :moped: arrive. Mom & Dad, Rather large folk with no apparent handicap other than girth, in rented scooters and son hot on Mom & Dads “girth trail“ ! They “roll” to the front of the line and the bus driver folds up 3 seats and “Roller Dad” hops off, “Roller son” drives his chariot onto the bus as Dad walks on & takes another seat (4 seats down ). Then bus driver folds up 3 more seats (7 down) to accommodate the next scooter. “Roller Mom gets off her sled walks on the bus & sits next to Dad(8 Down) as “Roller Son” navigates the scooter aboard. Then he takes his seat. 9 flippin seats, no wait and we had to catch the next bus. For fear of being flamed on the dis-boards I’ll leave it at “THAT”S CRAP” :confused3 ps.. I have no problem accommodating the truly handicapped and I gave up my seat to elderly people on 2 occasions I was lucky enough to acquire one! MOOVIN’ ON

The weather was HOT :faint: and Animal Kingdom was moderately crowded. We waited 15- 20 min for most attractions and the fast passes are hard to use because the attractions are so spread out. As the heat was oppressive the animals on the safari and the walkabouts were rather lethargic! We re-rode Dinosaur & Primeval a few times. The rides are great, but I noticed Primeval is starting to look a little run down, dull paint & several of the Tube Time travel decorations were cracked & held together with zip ties? What Would Walt Do??? :confused3 We had lunch at FlameTree and almost everyone had those delicious melt in your mouth ribs and they had lemon freezes for our desert choice. Too bad I was too full to enjoy the desert. Our neewbees LOVED the festival of the Lion King and we let the 4 kids ride Kali until there was not a dry spot left on them. Around parade time we cut out for MGM and had no bus line!
R&R , TOT several times then off to our 50’ prime time ressie. WE HAD A BLAST our waitress made this meal for us. She had our 12 tear old newbee red-faced from embarrassment. She raised her hand to ask for more soda and our MOM said “Don’t raise your arms honney..you’ll loose friends”! :rotfl: She had hilarious nick names for each kid and as we were still full from lunch I advised the kids to make log cabins out of their greenbeens which turned out hilarious! Never have we laughed so much at a restaurant! :teeth: We got to the theater for Fantasmic about 25 min before the show and still found decent seats. Fantasmic was , as always great and our new bees were amazed. We cut out right as the steamboat full of joy appeared at the end and we beat the “Bus rush” and to rectify my prior commentary I did give my seat up to an elderly lady! Back at the POP, slushee time was ON!

“TALES OF THE BLUE SLUSHEE” part 3
Slightly used mugs in hand I approached the deliverer of blue goo and noticed a new creature a large line of “mug-Dads” and the machine definatly didn’t look that big! I quickly devised another plan… :scratchin .”hey Guys…did you see those 2 CHICK LIFEGUARDS having a knock-down CAT FIGHT down by the POOL BAR where they are showing the Yankees v Redsox game on the BIGSCREEN TV” ! pitter patter..pitter patter …. YES ! Slightly used mugs full of blue slushee..The MUG DADS were easier than the MUG KIDS! Triumphantly I strolled back to the room.

We let the kids swim, showered & and let them decide which park to attend tomorrow. A unanimous Magic Kingdom. In bed at 11:00 I once again fell asleep to the sound of the screaming kids at the pool, and their parents yelling at the top of their lungs “BE QUIET” “People might be tryin to sleep”

And I was OK with that! :cloud9:

To Be Continued… :wave2:
