It seems like this is every one's favorite topic. We are thinking about going there for our first night. Our flight leaves at 7 am so we'll all be up very early. Rather than going back in to the park for the fireworks I have heard that the beach at the Poly is a good place to watch them. I would love some feedback on this plan. Also, will we have a hard time getting a reservation there, we'll be down in early August.

It's one of our fav places to eat. We watched the fireworks from the rest. one year I believe. They played the music over the speakers and it was quite nice.

This is our first meal and we end it with watching WISHES on the POLY beach. It is awesome!!! Just call on your 90 say mark and you should be fine.

Have fun!

It's a really fun, family place. And a great dinner. 'Ohana is very popular, so make sure that you book it as soon as you can. :)

This is actually our LAST night tradition. We can't afford to stay at the poly so we book our last night meal at either Ohana or Kona for around 7. We get to the Poly around 4 though and relax with a drink, walk the beach and just unwind from the pace of the week. Enjoy our wonderful dinner. Cap it off with Wishes from the beach. Then we head back to our hotel to pack.

i have just booked a character breakfast for ohanas (19th June) wish i'd read this first!! think i may have to TRY get a dinner too!!
anyone have any photos of their character breakfast?!?

also... we are stayaing off site... can we drive straight to Poly and park there or do we have to go to MK etc and get monorail!?!:confused3 (if so how long would this take??)

'Ohana is a totally different experience breakfast to dinner. I'd pick both! haha. Seriously, the breakfast is amazing... great characters, fun music, great atmosphere, yummy food.... The dinner is fantastic! No characters but the food is amazing - even my kids asked for more and more. The atmosphere at night is fun and Wishes from the window is a really fun experience. We do both as often as possible. :)

How crowded does the beach get at night for the fireworks? If I want to watch the fireworks what time should I make the reservation for?

I absolutely LOVE O'Hana. Great food, but be prepared to roll out of there, because they stuff you.

Also, they have a great drink menu - try the Backscratcher. :-D

I am trying it for the first time on our anniversary, and I had no problem getting the time and date I wanted 90 days out; so just due it 90 days before and you should be fien, big restaurant, I have heard. Enjoy!:hippie:

We start our first night dinner here and end with the breakfast on our last day! The whole family just loves it;)

This is going to be a definite for us...wish us luck to try to get ressie's, am going to try later today

We love watching the fireworks from the beach.....and it's not ever so crowded that you can't find a seat. Ohana's is wonderful. We always do breakfast on the first day there and supper sometime during the trip. Both wonderful. :)

For those who have been to Texas DeBrazil in Orlando...it sounds like Ohana is like that, for those who have been there, is it?

Meghan,
Don't forget, when the fireworks are over, you get to see the electric light water parade (don't know the official name, i just made that up)
