Is it all you can eat? Everyone seems to love it. Tell me your experience please.

Yes, it is all you can eat but it is served family style so they bring everything to you. My mother and I ate there for the 1st time this past January and enjoyed it very much. My mother enjoyed it so much, she requested taht we eat there the 1st night of our trip next January with my father. We both really enjoyed the appetizers and the shrimp.

'Ohana is one of our favorites! They bring out huge platters of food, and they keep them full!! You can ask for more of anything you like! The drinks are very good too - the Lapu Lapu is my favorite! :sunny:

'Ohanas was the best dining exp we had on our last trip, DH is still telling people about it a year later!

Lots of great food, good service, fun environment! We ate until we were stuffed enough to be rolled out the door =)

It's not much of a trip, either, since it's at the Poly and on the monorail - you could do MK all day and hop on the monorail over to the Poly for dinner ;)

We have been four times and really enjoy it. We're passing this next trip - just couldn't fit it in, but we'll go back in December. Love the shrimp. Some people don't like to peel them, but we live in SC and that's the way we do it here. If you've never been, I'd go.

We had the Lapu-Lapu once and we just must have had a bad one. All we could taste was alcohol, no fruity flavor at all. Not sure if I would never get another one since we didn't care for the first one. Loved the Pina Colada though.

We just ate there on 4/23 and loved it. We had never been there before, but it definitely exceeded all expectations and we'll be back on the next trip!

We've eaten there our last two trips and loved it! I have two suggestions. First, tell them nicely when you check in that you're willing to wait as long as it takes for a table in the main dining area. That is where all the action takes place; the coconut broom races, the hula hooping and the entertainment (singer.) If you don't sit in the main dining area, you're going to feel left out. The first time we ate there, we loved the food, but did sit in the non-main dining area and felt a bit 'out of it' and jealous. The last time we ate there, we requested the main dining room, waited about 20 minutes and got an awesome table with a view of the castle, Second, don't necessarily eat everything on the family platter they bring you before asking for more of your prefered appetizer dishes. Last time we went they brought out the first appetizer platter with the honey barbecue wings, salad, green beans, shrimp won-tons, and other items with extras of salad and green beans on the side. I heard my mother's voice saying, "Eat everything on your plate", but I hadn't asked for extras on the green beans and salad so I had no compunction in asking for additional wings and won-tons despite the abundance of beans and salad remaining. Our waiter was very agreeable to bring anything extra we asked for.

We did breakfast at O'Hanas in October and LOVED IT! The food and the service were great! The kids joined in a parade with Mickey and friends and are still talking about it. We got some great pictures.

Hope you like it! :wave2:

We have been to 'Ohana 3 times and will not be going back. The only reason we went the 3rd time is for others in our party. The food is dry, the service rushed, and the noise level huge. We do enjoy the appitizers but why spend that much money for appitizers?

There are so many wonderful places to eat at WDW, we see no reason to eat there. Many places are all you can eat with great food.

MY first experience was just like CoolDisneyCat's. We have so many more restaurants to try so we too wont be going back. Maybe I am being a little unfair but the experience was so awful I have no desire to eat there again. Perhaps it was just a bad server, and bad food that particular night.

The first time we went we really enjoyed it. However, we went again last year and all the meat was very dry and our server wasn't so great. Even our pineapple for dessert was really dry (unripe). Could have been an off night...we will skip it this year and head for BOMA again. princess: pirate: :earboy2:

I like it a lot better since they took the heads off of the shrimp. I was never crazy about the idea of my food looking back at me. ;)

We ate there last trip and loved it! Everything was really good and the drinks are AWESOME!

We loved O'Hana. Our girls loved the hula hoop games and coconut sweep. They gave out gummy worms in the end for playing. It was fun to play and eat. Food is on skewers and hot. The shrimp was excellent. Be sure to ask for a room in the middle or center of the dining area. We were off to the side and it was hard to see what all was happening even though the kids were involved. ENJOY!! :jumping1: :jumping1:

O'Hana is especially fun with a large group. That being said, dh and I still enjoyed are dinner here on our own last fall. The service has always been excellent, and the games are fun for kids -- both at breakfast and dinner. I feel very comfortable with or without the kids at this restuarant.

My DH and I just returned from WDW. We went to Ohana's during our stay and were quite disappointed. We did not have the best service and the food was the worst of the trip. The meat was dry and very over done. My husband said the shrimp was pretty good and we liked some of the appetizers.
We were directly in the line of fire with all the antics so we had parents over our heads yelling to their children and a hoola hoop hit our table.
If we went again ( I would have to drag my husband kicking and screaming)we would be sure to sit over to the side away from the area where they start the races and hoola hoop contest.
This was the worst experience we had ever had in a restaurant. :guilty:

Does O'hana offer lunch or only dinner?

Ohana's offers a character breakfast & dinner. Will be trying Ohana's for dinner for the first time in 3 weeks (!). And am looking forward to it.

We LOVED it-it was one of our favorites!! :cool1: My DDs (5 & 8) took part in the hula contest and had a great time. They didn't like the all-you-can-eat offerings, so they ordered off the children's menu. Without a doubt we'll be dining there on our next trip!! :sunny:
