On this trip I'm not including Disney Parks (except Epcot) as it's my boyfriend's first trip and he's not keen on the Mouse :(

However, I would love to see Wishes and wondered if it is viewable from the Polynesian? I had thought about the California Grill but then saw the prices :earseek: - can't stretch to that I'm afraid :( :( :(

So, question is, could I go to Ohana's and then head out to the beach for the Water Pagent and Wishes? What time would I need PS for at Ohana's.

(Edit - oops, just performed a search and found the answer I think - Wishes is at 8pm so if I get PS for 7:30 ish it should work out OK... :) )

Many thanks

Alison

I'm too excited!

Just a quick word of warning about PS at Ohana. If you go on a very busy night (ie--any Friday or Saturday), you may still have to wait for a table even with a PS. We've eaten there several times with PS, and we've actually waited over 40 minutes for a table. They actually pipe the music for Wishes into the restaurant, and if it's just the two of you, there's a good chance that you may get a seat near the front windows facing the MK.
Another option would be to plan your PS time before or after Wishes and watch from the beach at the Poly. The music is also played out there. Some of our best memories from our trips are watching the MK fireworks from the beach at the Poly.
Have a good trip!

This is totally un-food related, but I just wanted to add my unsolicited opinion!

Please reconsider visiting MGM. On my first trip to WDW I wasn't too keen on the mouse - actually I'm still not - but I fell in love with MGM. Except for the parade and Fantasmic you really don't see Mickey anywhere.

How can you pass up attractions like Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller Coaster, the Great Movie Ride, Star Tours, and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular?

Maybe after that he would warm up to The Little Mermaid Show and Beauty and the Beast. Admittedly they are a little sacchrine, but how can you not enjoy them, especially once you are already there?

Thanks guys.... I've got PS for 7pm on a Tuesday so feeling fairly hopeful it'll work out.

I'm sorry to miss MGM, but we have got a couple of free days during the 2 weeks we're there, so maybe he'll mellow a bit and I can sneak in a day :)

Not long to go now!!

Guests are usualy allowed to view the fireworks from the top of the Contemporary (observation platforms) even if they're not dining at CG. This policy was changed for a while and visitors were restricted, but it seems they've opened the doors again for quite a few months now. You could call CG and ask, if that interests you.

Just take the elevator to the top, turn left when you exit the elevator, and follow the hallway to the outside observation deck. Even if you do Ohana's, you might be looking for something to do one night and choose to see it again.
