Can you see Wishes from 'Ohana's? We have a 9:45pm ADR on a night Wishes will be at 10. Just wondering if we could see it from there. Thanks!:)

Yes! It's awesome. They sync the firework music up with the restaurant.

Yes, you can see it if you are near a window...but keep in mind the distance (you don't get nearly the full effect). they do play the music.

I don't think it's suggested to get up and go stand in front of the windows.

This.

There also aren't too many tables with a good view. Also keep in mind that with a 9:45 ADR you may not get a table until well after Wishes. 'Ohana basically runs anywhere from 20 mins to an hour behind schedule and those with a view of MK are not likely to leave until after Wishes. Bottom line, don't go to a 9:45 ADR expecting to see Wishes, otherwise you're more than likely to end up disappointed.

We have an 8 pm reservation for 'Ohana when Wishes is at 9:00 (not on purpose, it was the time I could get). I am really worried that they will be really behind on reservations because of people lingering to watch Wishes. Anyone have this problem?

Usually with an hour before Wishes, you shouldn't have too much of an issue and should be sat in time. If people were smart, instead of lingering around to watch Wishes from 'Ohana they would realize the view is better from the Poly beach.

In fact, with an 8 pm ADR I would check in by 7:45 and ask at the podium for a table with a view of the Castle, and express a willingness to wait for one. Unless other guests with ADRs are standing around complaining that Ohana is already running an hour behind, you should still be seated in good time to watch Wishes.

With a 9:45 ADR and 10pm Wishes? No, probably not going to get seated. It may not be fair, but if I was finishing my dinner at 9:45 and had a decent view of the Castle I'd probably just slow down, have another drink, a little more bread pudding, and wait to watch the show.

Figuring people will wait until Wishes is over to leave their table, do you think it possible to check in and then head to the beach to catch Wishes?

If your party is called upon but you are not in the area when it is time for you to sit, you are more than likely to lose your reservation, they will more than likely move on to the next party and when you return they will more than likely consider you a walk-up. Basically watching Wishes that night from anywhere is not likely going to happen at all if you really want that 'Ohana ADR.
