O'hana's, We Talked to the Chef

it's been our experience w/southwest (and lots of experience at that) that they do NOT clean the entire plane, it is up to the passenger to sanitize their area and any other area they think they may come in contact with (i've got it down to a science!)... they allow allergy passengers to pre-board to give them time to do that... they also strongly recommend getting the first flight of the morning as those planes have been cleaned/vacuumed/sanitized/etc...

So is the bread pudding going as well? That is now the best part of the meal.

Do airlines clean the plane?!? :lmao:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Most any flight attendant will tell you that "cleaning a plane" between flights consists of picking up anything larger than a basketball.

Actually cleaning it (like seats, tray tables etc) is only done when a plane goes into the hanger for full-blown maintenance. Like when they repaint it. And that ain't nightly.

I'm glad to hear that other airlines have nut-free policies. I verified with my husband that United still serves nuts in first class, and doesn't offer nut free flights. My husband did say that out of politeness he would make an unofficial allergy announcement at the request of a passenger (akin to announcing someone's honeymoon or something.)

EXACTLY! Not to mention the thousands of us who QUIT going when they initially dumbed down the menu to satisfy the DDP's. Perhaps they'll actually get back to the quality and quasi - authenticity they once stood for!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Of course this is just my opinion.

The rice and pineapple were to me entirely ordinary and nothing special whatsoever. The potatoes aren't either even though I find them far better than those out of the box. But I consider all three just minor parts of a nice meal. But I won't insult those that liked them by referring to them as dumbed down. Nor will I throw a thinly veiled inflammatory slam on those that use the ddp in there. If someone that is so bitter, angry, and arrogant as to spew such venom on a message board as in the post above, well ultimately, despite the intent, that person is only hurting themselves.
As for me and my rif raf, we'll happily be at 'Ohana to eat our brainless bread pudding.
