We have an 'open' day & we are thinking about adding another character breakfast.

We have narrowed it down to 'Ohana's or Cape May.

Can you nice people give me our opinions on the two?
What is the themeing in each? How is the food?
What characters are there & how is the interaction?

In our party will be me, DH, DS (3.5), my mom & her husband.

Are PSs fairly easy to get?

THANK YOU!

Ok I will start with O'hana. The themeing is Polynesian, the Characters are all dressed in Grass skirts and banana leaves, your waiter/waitresses are your family. The food is brought out in a skillet, you can find the menu here: http://wdwig.com/menu/menu_ohb.htm
Yes the food is good here and the characters are minnie, goofy, chip/dale.

Cape May is a serve yourself buffet and has a much better variety the menu is here: http://wdwig.com/menu/menu_cm.htm
The characters are the same accept for they are dressed in beach attire. The theme is very New England style.

...of the two "I" would choose Cape May but as I was thinking about your 3 yr old I thought maybe there is a bigger benefit to having a waiter/waitress bringing you your food so that you can be at the table when the characters come to see your little one. So I am sure I have made the decision harder, the food is better at cape may (though the food is great at O'hana) but being served is better then serving yourself.

As for PS I have never had issues getting them for either restaurant and these are two we NEVER miss, you shouldn't have a hard time getting them. If you do, just keep trying your bound to get them. Good luck and whichever you choose Enjoy!!!

Thank you for your reply.

I was checking out the menus of both this morning, I think Cape May looks more appealing for us.

We (My son & Myself) are vegetarians & too top that off my son is a very picky eater. His breakfast food likings are eggs, toast, pancakes, waffles, french toast sticks, muffins & that is pretty much it for breakfast foods.
I am not sure how 'OHana will be food wise for him, just by looking at the menu?? Unless the menu has changed??

Is Mickey or Pluto at both of them?

I don't know, he may have more fun though at 'OHana???

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!

Our first trip to WDW with DD (then 3.5) was just this past October. Of the 2, I feel that Cape May Cafe was the better for us, especially with a picky eater. Our 3rd time at WDW is coming in November and we are sure to be having breakfast at Cape May, because it's our favorite character breakfast (try the bread pudding with vanilla sauce - it's delicious!). Serving yourself at the buffet is no problem and the food choices were better for our DD. Lots of fresh fruit, too. Also, the characters come around more than once and you will have plenty of time for interaction with them! No Pluto or Mickey, though.
