We're on the DDP so if we do Spirit of Aloha it will obviously take up 2 table service slots. If we do Ohana's we have an extra TS meal left.

Has anyone done both? Was Spirit of Aloha really a memorable experience? I want to do something fun and *different* but if it's not that great then we would probably enjoy dining at two different restaurants rather than just the dinner show.

i just went to o'hana last week and thought i'd sahre the experience..........after a quick tour of the amazing lobby area, the pool, and a great pina colada, we got seated almost immediately.........within minutes they bring out some amzing apps like wings, shrimp, potatoes, and bread.................and then come to your table with skewers, directly from an open fire, of chicken, steak, turkey, and pork. while you're eating, a guy is singing and walking around with a little guitar.........and every 15 minutes they something fun for the kids like have coconut races, a parade wher they place instruments, and and do that game where you walk under a pole.........it was really fun.

as for the luau, i havent been for years, but highly recomend the hoop dee doo as it's hysterical.

I had family go to Ohana recently and they were less than thrilled. We just went to Spirit of Aloha last week and it was ok, not great, but decent. I dont know if I'd do it again, and burn up 2 TS credits. I'd go with two different restaurants or maybe Hoop De Doo before Spirit of Aloha.

We had two families of friends who went to the luau last year and LOVED it. They said even the 3 year olds were entertained throughout the meal & show. And I've read so many great things here about 'Ohana, and my TA highly recommends it. We decided to do both! The atmosphere of the Poly makes it worth going twice. I'm hoping it might sway DH to stay there sometime... ;)

We did both this past Nov. I wouldn't do the Luau again. Show was okay and the food was just barely okay. Ohana was much better. Food was excellent and we said we will go back next time even before we finished our meal. It was an enjoyable evening at Ohana overall.

I went to the Spirit of Aloha Show. It was nice but a little long. The best part was the fire dancer at the end. The food was so so. I would go to Ohana's.

After careful reviewing I decided not to do the dinner show and did O'hanas. We loved O'hanas. Food was great kids loved it and a beautiful view of Cindy's Castle from our table. I bet it would be a great place to view fireworks if they serve that late. :thumbsup2

I was debating the same thing - having not done either before

I choose Ohana's as it is only 1 rather then 2 TS credits :thumbsup2
Considering all of the other " free shows" wihtin WDW I rather not burn up another TS credit

Did Ohana 1 week ago and the food was not good, the shrimp although messy, and the bread pudding were the only stuff we enjoyed, the meats were all dry and tasteless

I canceled are ADR last after reading all the negative things they have changed about Ohanas. My recommendation choose another place to have dinner. I'll bump last night chat about Ohanas for you to read.
