'Ohana's new menu

Hey, We ate at O'hana's on 9-27 and I didn't get any wontons!! Oh well, everything else was wonderful. We were seated by the window and while the appetizers were being served, Wishes started. Then, when we were eating our delicious dessert(I had extra 'cause my son was half asleep), we saw the water parade! I was a great night for me, all that planning worked out perfectly!

Oh no! You didn't get wontons? I was under the impression that they decided to keep them! I had a PS for Ohana, canceled because of the wontons, and then rescheduled it because I thought I read on here that they are keeping them! Now I don't know what to do! If no wontons, I wanna try a new place!

No shrimp wontons but the meal was our favorite of the trip.

We just ate at 'Ohanas on 10/6 and all loved it! we had fried wontons, not shrimp filled tho, ok by me i don't like shrimp, with 3 dipping sauces. we all liked the peanut best although the other 2 were good too. then had glazed chicken wings and shrimp. chicken was yummy and those who had the shrimp like it a lot. then skewered beef, pork, sausage and turkey. beef was good, loved the pork, turkey extremely dry, imo, dark turkey would grill better. sausage ok. loved the veggies and the potatoes. the bread pudding was great, with vanilla bean ice cream and the banana fosters sauce. all and all we really liked the restaurant and i'd go back again!

the wontons are more like light fried tortilla chips with dipping sauces...we liked the red but not the others!!

We ate at Ohana last week. In addition to the changes mentioned above, the dessert also has changed from pineapple with caramel sauce to bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and bananas foster sauce. The service has changed somewhat also. No more lazy susans. Now the appetizers are served in dishes in three waves. Even with the changes, we enjoyed our meal as much as ever and will continue returning on every trip to WDW.

Reading these posts, although our server told us we were the last night before the menu changes, it seems a few of them had already changed for our meal.

We did NOT have the sausage. The shrimp was on the skewer (and it was GOOD). We had the rice. The appetizers were on the lazy susans. But we did have the bread pudding, and I usually don't go out of my way for bread pudding. Actually, we were STUFFED when he brought it (we didn't know it came with the meal). So, we tried a small bite. Next thing you know, we're fighting over who gets to get the last bits left on the side of the bowl. It was the best bread pudding we ever had - no kidding!

Wasn't that bread pudding incredible? I'm a chocolate girl myself, but that bread pudding was so good, I'd give my chocolate away any day for that! I wish I could go back sooner than two years from now...just for that bread pudding!

SO INCREDIBLE I actually HATED the thought of having to share it with my children!!!!
we thought about asking for more but did not want to seem like total pigs and considering we had about half of all the other stuff spread all out on the table....just wouldn't be right...or maybe....next time I will get more bread pudding MMMMMM and the sauce!! MMMMM...

the one thing I did not like was all the dishes all over the table, now I know it is served family style and I realize why they leave it all on the table but there was SOOO much food on our table it seemed sinful really...we almost felt guilty sitting there (not to mention dh has a major problem w WASTING food!!)

You're not alone. I read that too. We have a ADR for my DW's Birthday at Ohana... and she absolutly loves the wontons... IT's actually her favorite part of the meal. I just set her mind at ease by telling her that I read that they were still on the menu. I don't know what to tell her now.. She will be so disapointed...

I can't wait for our return trip. Last trip (10/04) the pineapple wasn't really ripe for the dessert. I love pineapple, so i was disappointed with this. This year, I am the only one in our family who likes bread pudding, and I LOVE it. So, I'll get all the bread pudding I can eat. The only problem is it will cost me a creme brulee for my wife and a flavored ice bucket for the kids--a price I am very willing to pay.
