Ohana's is booked...got Kona's instead...keep it or drop it

Keep it. We really liked the food. So good! We did not have a very good server but you can get that anywhere!

Ohana clearly over hyped - over rated living off its past reputation which most current patrons don't have a reference to what I am referring to...we would always pick Kona over Ohana anyday.

Kona has become our favorite restaurant on property. It is just outstanding! So, another vote for keep it.....

We had bfast there on our last trip and thought it was great! I have heard so many great things from Dis friends as well as face-to-face friends and we made sure we booked a dinner there for our trip in April. I hear the sticky wings are the best...as far as bad service...I wouldn't blame an entire establishment for one bad server...that could happen anywhere!

Definitely keep it!

We love Kona...have been to both SEVERAL times and it is hard to pick one over the other. Kona's has very delicious food and a good variety. Ohana's is also very good and is reasonably priced for a complete meal (appetizer, entrees and dessert, beverage included for one price)

We Kona!!! I don't think that you'll be disappointed at all. Tried it on a whim (well, actually I booked it because of the Kona Cone) May '08 and made sure to eat there in Dec. '08. That was also one of the first ADRs we made for our upcoming trip.

Another vote for keeping Kona!

Although I admit my 3 boys had a great time at O'Hana when they were 9, 6 and 6 - the food was not that great. For our trip later this year I suggested we go back to Kona and even the boys agreed! Although there will not be games to play or dancing, Kona is situated right in the heart of the Poly with amazing tropical atmosphere, music, and excitement!!

Go down to the beach at the Poly to watch wishes, its a great spot.


Also, to the Original Poster, if you really do want Ohana, keep trying. People DO cancel - we've checked at the conceirge on the day before and got last minute reservations....all you need is faith and trust and a little pixie dust!

Yeah the ADR person told me the other day to keep trying as people do cancel or changes their reservations so it is possible. However it appears Kona's is also a great place to dine. I was afraid Kona's was a knock off of Ohana's and we would not enjoy it but it sounds pretty good so far.

Absolutely keep it! Kona is wonderful! We'll be arriving three weeks from tomorrow, and we have an ADR for Kona that night. I can't wait!

We eat at Kona's 1-2 times a trip. It certainly doesn't have the fun atmosphere for kids that Ohana's could have, and no chance at getting a table by the windows to watch the fireworks, but we consistently like the food (even though they've messed with the menu and no longer have my very favorite fish dish). I just made ADRs for our next trip.

Haven't been to Ohana's in at least 7 years ..... we used to like it a lot, but many others don't sound so crazy about it.

We tried Kona's last year for the first time and loved it. We also went to Ohana's but did not like it as well as Kona's. We have O'hana's booked this year for our party of 10 and we have Kona's booked for my husband and me before all the crowd gets there. I would keep Kona's on the list.
