Will DH & I feel out of place at O'Hana's? I know it is very family/kid oriented with the games & such. Just wondering how other 'parties of two' have felt & what the experience was like for them.

My DH and I love Ohana. Our experience has been dependent upon where we were seated. If seated in the main part of the dining room, it's great, but when seated to the back or side it does lose some of its atmosphere.

Probably the one thing that I don't like is during the games and such all of the parents are trying to take pictures and end up crowding some of the tables. That can make things a little awkward.

I eat at 'Ohana SOLO on every trip and don't feel out of place!

'Ohana is actually a beautiful place for a romantic couple's dinner. Just ask for a table in the corner, away from the center area.

But be warned - 'Ohana now has no tables for two. They have tables for 3, which are actually tables for 4 that have been pushed up against the wall; I waited 90 minutes last December, with a reservation, while families of 4 or more who showed up after me were being seated in 20 minutes or less. Needless to say, I complained.

But even with that trouble, I still had a wonderful meal and highly recommend 'Ohana to anyone, singles, couples, groups, or families.

We asked to be seated away from all the antics--it was tolerable that way, but you could still hear the screaming, etc.etc.
We found it just too noisy, and haven't been back since that one visit.
I should add that the food was pretty good--.

'Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind...Most of the time! In November, my family visited Disney World! 3 days into the holiday my dad got sick, so it was only me and my mum (that's how us Brits call our Mom!) for most of the time, inlcuding our visit to 'Ohana! It was perfectly ok just being the two of us! We had lapu lapus and watched the electrical water pagent! The only thing to be aware of, is that if you have an isle seat, you will be part of the action, ie cocount rolling. All the kids crowded around our table, which wasnt too bad except one little girl decided to cough in our food! Not good!

Go to 'Ohana and just have fun! Enjoy!

We will be solo on our June trip and it was the first ADR I made. Go and enjoy! pixiedust:

Good to hear. DF and I will be trying 'Ohana's for the first time this upcoming trip. We've been looking forward to it! :)

DH and I went alone and loved it. We were away from the games which helped, but it didn't bother us. It is Disney after all. Kids are going to be there, but I didn't find it kid oriented. Go, you'll love it!

DH and I go to 'Ohana on every trip. We always ask for a window seat which puts us away from the activities that are in the center of the room. Always nice to look out at the Castle while you are eating. Doesn't get more magical than that!!!:wizard:

Will, that stinks that they made you wait!

You mentioned the tables for 4 and 3 - do you know how many people the larger tables seat?

They have some round tables that seat (I think) 6-8, and they also join many of the 4-person tabes together in the middle of the dining room to accomodate larger parties.

They can take a party as large as you want, as long as you can get an ADR before they're all gone.
