we are going for the very 1st time in June. Originally I was very excited about my dinner at Ohana's. After reading many reviews, I am really hoping I am one of the ones who enjoys it. Does any one happen to know what the drinks seved in the pinapples are? Also, how much they cost. thanks:goodvibes

Ohhhh the pineapple drink! My favorite thing when I go to the Poly. I'm blanking on the name of it though. It's a fruit juice drink (think pineapple juice) with lots of rum & a very strong 110 proof I think rum floater on top. Beware it's very potent, but very tasty. I'll be having one in 17 days! It's not cheap. I believe it's around $10.00, but you'll only need one. BTW I'm one of those people who really likes Ohana. I hope you'll enjoy it. If you like tropical drinks I'd highly recommend the pineapple!

It is called a Lapu Lapu (I think I spelled that right). It was good, but very strong..... I was pretty tipsy after 1 and actually ended up singing zippity do da the whole way back to our room that night. I would get one, but my advise is don't walk down to the beach to watch the fireworks and EWP with it unless you know you will be sitting. We ended up standing to watch and it was pretty heavy and sticky on the bottom after a little while.

Thanks guys!! Some good advice. They sound pretty strong, but might have to try it anyways

The last time we had the Lapu Lapu (Oct 07) they were $14 a piece and super duper strong! I had to ask the server at Kona to get me some pineapple juice to cut the booze!

Is this strong is Alcohol taste or just strong as in throw you for a loop strong...I want to try one but I like fruity drinks that taste yummy, girlie drinks my husband says:) Will I like it? Should I ask for them to omit the floater?

It's strong no matter how you look at it. My family won't let me order one - ever again. (OMG, Mom's blotto!) If you ask for pineapple juice to cut it, ask for a LOT.

WOW, I was looking at this on the Kona menu, I kept saying I gotta try one, but wow...sounds like just one and I'll be toast, I'm a cheap drunk!! At least I'll sleep good, right?? HAHAHAHA I still think I gotta try one!!! :)

Thats what I did but I still hated the taste! I like drinks where I cant taste the alcohol! Ill stick to a pinacolava next time! Those are sooo yummy!

The Lapu Lapu were $14 a piece b/c I was stund when the bartender gave me a total close to $30 for two!

It is extremely strong. I tried cutting it with juice, but still could'nt finish it. Just too much alcohol for me!! I prefer the fruity types. They have one called something sunrise that is very good. :)

I was also looking at the malibu macaw on the menu board, that one sounds yummy too!! I don't want to drink too much the night of DH's birthday dinner since we're going to the MK the next day, AND the cost of the drinks, YIKES!! But they all sound good, I'll at least probably have one of SOMETHING. I like the fruity drinks too...the sweeter the better!!

We will be there on 5/3 and will be drinking Zombies.
