Hi: Just reading Deb Wills menu's and for Ohanas at dinnertime the meat section mentions chicken instead of turkey and I did not see the scalloped potatoes mentioned. Can anyone confirm that these have been changed.

Thanks,

Deb.

We were there in June and it was chicken then. Very good chicken though, amazingly good. There were no potatoes on the menu either, just the noodles. I'm pretty sure it's been a while since there were potatoes.

Are you sure you mean Ohana? Are you think of Liberty Tree Tavern? Ohana is an asian themed meal. Liberty Tree Tavern is a Thanksgiving type meal.

Hi:

Last time we were there in 2010 may, they had turkey on the stick and slide it onto your plate. I guess they changed it up. It used to be one of our favorite restaurants with the bread pudding and bananas foster sauce.

Yep. Ohana's been through a series of pretty dramatic menu changes.

Pre-2005, the menu included 4 meats (like it does now), as all as about 7 appetizers, and the dessert was pineapple with caramel sauce. In 2005, they removed the shrimp, reduced the number of appetizers and sides, added cheesy potatoes, and added the bread pudding to the menu. Since then, the menu has seen minor fluctuations, such as the return of shrimp, chicken instead of turkey, and noodles instead of the potatoes. Personally I'm happy that the potatoes are gone now and I like the chicken more than the turkey, but I still wish that the dessert was pineapple with caramel sauce. It just made more sense to me after such a filling meal. Nevertheless, the bread pudding is super popular and it does taste good.

Great to hear that you like the chicken, looking forward to going there again. Pinapple and carmel sauce mmmm, sounds good too and yes you really have to leave room for the bread pudding. Thanks for the updates.

We asked about the pineapple and caramel a couple weeks ago and our 'cousin' said it was available but not included. $7 more after $37 was not an option. I didn't expect to like the bread pudding..........wrong! It was delish!

My DH & I were just talking about it last night. In Nov we went for the 1st time ever. I don't recall turkey. But the chicken was excellent. It was grilled w/ lime & the peanut sauce was perfect w/ it!! My DH & my 1 year old LOVED it!!!:cloud9: The shrimp was my favorite item. We WILL go back, it was amazingly delish. :thumbsup2 We did not have potatoes.:confused3
