We had a fantastic experience at Ohana's. DS has severe asthma and I was worried about the smoke from the open fire pit. I requested seating far away from the fire. DH has an intolerance to garlic. We asked the waitress which foods he should avoid. Turns out all the dishes but two were had garlic, (scalloped potatoes and mixed veggies). A chef came out and went over the menu with dh. He specially prepared a substitute for dh. His shrimp were grilled without garlic or the sweet and sour sauce. His still had peppers and pineapples in it, but salt and pepper instead of the sauce. His meat was not marinated either. It was just grilled. Since the sausage was not an option for dh, the chef recommended making him some mahi mahi. DS and I had the regular menu and ours was fantastic. Overall, service was excellent and the food was plentiful and delicious.

It's great to hear they were so attentive to your concerns. Thanks for sharing. :sunny:

'Ohana is great when working with your tastes or allergies. We have taken friends there before who have had problems with some of the seasonings and the chef did a great job making sure they got everything they could eat.
