Hi All! We are going to the World in September and got the free dining :cool1: !! We will be taking the MIL and FIL for their first trip to the world. Unfortunately, it will be park commando style - one park a day - because they own their own business and the "boss" won't let them off work!

I made my dining ressies before the free dining came out to ensure that we would have the locations/times we wanted. We plan to do the MK and ride the monorail over to 'Ohana's for dinner at 7:10pm. I would love to get back to the MK to watch Wishes (at 9:00pm) from Main Street, since Wishes is my fave thing at WDW and it will be the IL's first time to experience it. I know that we can watch Wishes from the restaurant, but since it will be the only time the IL's will be at the world, I would prefer that we all get to experience the MK with the evening lights on, etc. Do you think that if we get to the restaurant a little early (a lot early), that we may be able to get back over to the park in time??

I did call every so often to WDW-dine to check if anything had opened up around 6:00, and haven't gotten any better times offered to me. But, I will keep trying every once in a while....:thumbsup2

I say you'd be cutting it close. I think it's best not to rush while at Ohanas because it is all you can eat and you want to experience it slowly and enjoy all the food. You could speed it along and make it back I'm sure, but your best bet would be to enjoy the food.

7:10 figure an hour and a half for dinner and you are at 8:40 plus the boat ride. Better to watch it there or book dinner earlier.

7:10 ADR does not mean you will be seated at 7:10. I have always had a wait at Ohana, sometimes short sometimes long.

I remembered watching fireworks there atleast 3 other occassions and was excited for DD and I to spend our first evening there and watch the fireworks. We had a great table but the castle was a lot further away than I had remembered. Also, we had 2 people just pull their chairs right up to our table and talked loudly throughout commentating the fireworks. I was pretty annoyed and it made DD very uncomfortable as they pulled their chairs to the side of the table and seperated DD and I. I had her come sit on my lap.

I would try bumping up the time so you aren't stressing through dinner.
