I know we're in the minority, but we really didn't enjoy 'Ohana at all and will not be going back. I didn't expect that DH and I would be wild about the food because we're not meat-eaters. But my 2 DS's are meat lovers, so I thought they would enjoy it. I was wrong - they barely touched any of the meat. They both said it tasted "funny." This from two adolescent boys who had never, up until that time, turned away a meal involving meat. I figured DH and I would like the appetizers, which we did. The pineapple bread was delicious, as was the salad, rice and pineapple-caramel for dessert. But these items definitely didn't make the meal worth it for us, especially when we were also very disappointed in the setting. We were expecting a fun meal and good service, and we got neither. Our server came around to dish out food but otherwise ignored us. I think maybe he said two words to us the whole time. We were seated behind the fire pit so we couldn't see the food being prepared on the pit. We also couldn't see any of the kid's games, which was fine since we don't have any young children. But the microphone used by the CM directing the games was turned up so loud we couldn't carry on any conversation while he was talking (which was most of the time we were there) and it was very annoying to hear him so loudly but not see the things he was commenting on and laughing about.
Maybe if we had young children, this meal would've been a better experience for us. As it is now, we've decided 'Ohana is not the place for us.
