Ohana

We ate at Ohana in December (myself,dh,and ds (age 1)) - we really enjoyed it. We thought the food was really good, and the service was excellent. It's kind of a fun place for kids - races, hula hoops, etc. The added benefit, for us, was that after dinner, we went down to the beach and watched wishes - it was really a great night. We hadn't eaten there in the past and will definitely make it part of our plans in the future. Hope that helps!

...It is one of our can't miss during stay, dinners!

Loved it. If you have kids they can order off the children's menu and get typical kid's fare. Then if they are brave they can sample some of the adult food.

Absolutely love it, going there just for dinner next Saturday night. I love the fact you can time your dinner to see MK's fireworks from the restaurant.

absolutely amazing....the highlight of my holiday. it was perfect!

On our list of "must-do" every year also.

We've been for both breakfast and dinner. The character breakfast
is fun.....but we prefer the dinner.

Another yes vote! We loved it! As far as wishes goes you need to have a PS about 1 to 1 1.2 hrs before Wishes then request a window seat when you get there. Or you can eat earlier or later and watch Wishes from the Poly beach. After doing both I actually think the view from the beach is better but that is just my preference. It was pretty cool watching Wishes at the end of our meal.

Love it for dinner, great food and a good value, IMO for what you get. The Wishes view wasn't great, I won't try to time it with it again, but the food is worth the trip anyways.

ohana is great my last trip i asked the bartender at port orleans where he
would recomend eating he told me to try ohana he said if i didn't like it come back tommorow and he would buy me a drink.well i never asked for that drink!

Went on a recommendation from a friend and hated it! The food was tough , the service awful and we were seated at the back away from the action. I was so disappointed.I realise I probably got the wrong serving staff on the wrong evening but when the whole family walks away saying 'never again you know it isnt just you.
Since most reviews are so good I may give it another go sometime - persauding the family is the problem!

O'hanas is on our must do list - we've been on our last 2 trips for dinner. The food is great and the kids love all the activities. It's name is perfect - it really is a great family place!

I know we're in the minority, but we really didn't enjoy 'Ohana at all and will not be going back. I didn't expect that DH and I would be wild about the food because we're not meat-eaters. But my 2 DS's are meat lovers, so I thought they would enjoy it. I was wrong - they barely touched any of the meat. They both said it tasted "funny." This from two adolescent boys who had never, up until that time, turned away a meal involving meat. I figured DH and I would like the appetizers, which we did. The pineapple bread was delicious, as was the salad, rice and pineapple-caramel for dessert. But these items definitely didn't make the meal worth it for us, especially when we were also very disappointed in the setting. We were expecting a fun meal and good service, and we got neither. Our server came around to dish out food but otherwise ignored us. I think maybe he said two words to us the whole time. We were seated behind the fire pit so we couldn't see the food being prepared on the pit. We also couldn't see any of the kid's games, which was fine since we don't have any young children. But the microphone used by the CM directing the games was turned up so loud we couldn't carry on any conversation while he was talking (which was most of the time we were there) and it was very annoying to hear him so loudly but not see the things he was commenting on and laughing about.

Maybe if we had young children, this meal would've been a better experience for us. As it is now, we've decided 'Ohana is not the place for us.

We loved it!! We have gone twice and both times it was wonderful! Right now it is not on my schedule for May but I am trying to squeeze it in - LOL I want to try some new places but it is hard not to go back to what you enjoyed before. So it may very well get put on my list yet :flower:
