We are going to be at WDW with lots of family in June.:D

My brother and sister-in-law and my 2 year old nephew are vegetarians.

Ohana is at the top of my family's wish list, but don't know if their family will be able to find enough food to justify the price. FYI - they are OK with the concept of meat coming to the tables on a stick - checked that out first thing. Some veggies wouldn't be able to tolerate that!

I've read the excellent vegetarian info I've found here and other sites, but no mention of Ohana. Maybe that should tell me something???

Any vegetarians eaten there??? Know of any that have???

'Ohana's is not good for vegetarians. You might want to split up that night. They'd do much better at Kona Cafe.

I am a vegetarian, but we went to Ohanas in 2001 while I was pregnant and eating meat. I mentioned to the server that I was a vegetarian but was eating meat due to the pregnancy, and he brought me out a specially created veggie pasta. I was so full from all the other food there, that I couldn't even eat it, but I thought that was so nice and thoughtful. So I think if you tell the server that some in the party are vegetarian, they will do something for them.

Here's a little pixie dust for ya...

We ate at 'Ohana last December. There were five of us, and DW's aunt came over from Tampa to join us that day. She's not a total vegetarian, but her body doesn't produce the enzyme needed to digest meat properly, so she has to be REAL careful. She was a real sport. So while we carnivores were shoveling down all the beef, pork, smoked turkey, etc., she was soldiering along with the side dishes, eating just a little turkey.

Apparently our server noticed this, because without even a request he brought her out this HUGE bowl with what he called "our special noodle entree for folks with selective tastes." It was chock-full of the pasta and veggies, and I had to sample it. Delicious.

So, seallenz, I'm guessing this was the same dish you had. We all left stuffed and very satisfied that night.

Thanks for all your help - especially the Dixie pixie dust!

I'll show my brother your replies and see what he thinks.

I was so worried about what they would eat while we were there, but sounds like all the restaurants are very accommodating. I am going to contact the chefs in advance as that sounds like a great way to accomodate their needs as well as something new and fun we've never done while planning a WDW tip before!!! We always love a new Disney experience!:D
