So tell me about Ohana. My husband doesn’t like coconut. Loves chicken wings though. Hoping to have the family try a new place. Does the dessert also have coconut?
It sounds like this is a preference, not an allergy. All of the Disney restaurants are sensitive to food issues. Just tell your server that your husband can't have coconut and they will see that none is included.
No he doesn’t like the flavor. I was afraid everything would have a little coconut flavor added. Is it that he doesn't like coconut flavor or he doesn't like the texture of coconut? I absolutely hate the texture of shredded coconut like you would find in a Mounds bar or on fried coconut shrimp, but I am good with coconut flavoring in a lollipop or something. I've never noticed the shredded coconut texture in anything at 'Ohana...maybe it's in the bread but I don't eat enough to notice because I'm saving room for the good stuff. I've never noticed the texture in the dessert and I eat plenty of that, so I feel like I would have noticed if it was present.

I think he will be fine if he can have the actual meal without it . He can skip dessert
They returned to the bread somewhat recently and got rid of the biscuits.I HATE coconut and can taste it in anything and I had no issue at 'Ohana. I skipped the coconut biscuits but was fine with the cake.
Skipping dessert at 'Ohana is a big mistake. If nothing else he can have some sauce on the ice cream but I think he'll be okay with the bread pudding. No he doesn’t like the flavor. I was afraid everything would have a little coconut flavor added.

I'm not seeing $55/pp plus tax a gratuity worth of food there. We ate there a couple years ago and the menu was slightly different, but I don't recall coconut in the things we had. Where did you get the idea that O'hana has a lot of coconut flavored items? Even looking at the current menu posted on the official Disney website, I don't see anything with coconut as the main ingredient. Most in our party didn't care for any type of bread pudding, so that was probably the least favorite part of the menu regardless of whatever flavor it was. I do recall we asked for the dessert sauce to be on the side.
