First off how do I know what time Wishes will be on any given night?

Second how is the view of wishes from there?

Look at park hours.

Not the best. They are far away, and unless you're right next to a window you probably won't see them at all. (They do pipe in music, but the speakers aren't so great.) I would never count on watching Wishes while eating at Ohana, and only consider it a bonus if I do get to see it.

LoL, thanks. I was looking at the park hours for all the parks. He he. I knew I had seen more details before; I just couldn't remember how to get back there.

It will be at 10 when we are there so that is out. I knew it would be far away since we got a great seat on our last trip and you could barely even see the castle, but I just thought since my kids do not care for the loud booms of the fireworks it would be a way they could see them in the distance, but minimize the sound. I guess I will just have to look for another solution.

Sorry, I guess I didn't understand :)

If you're saying 10 is too late, I'm guessing Wishes is at 9 that night? I've never done it, but I hear a lot of people watch Wishes from the Polynesian beach. I don't think it's a far walk from the Great Ceremonial House. I don't know if there is a better "offsite" viewing area since I know the observation deck at BLT has restricted access, and that might be the case at the Contemporary too. Maybe someone else has better info. Hope you are able to figure something out so you can still enjoy Wishes :goodvibes

ETA - As I re-read this I realized that there is that little deck at the Contemporary that sits beside the monorail, but I wouldn't suggest that because you're so close that the booms will probably be worse. When we watched from BLT (twice, once from balcony, once from Top of the World Lounge) the reverberation set off car alarms. I don't know anything about the GF, so the Polynesian beach might be your best bet

We were at O'hanas tonight and we had a great view of Wishes. We weren't directly at the window but we were one table away. Yes the castle is small from that distance but it is distinctly lit and the fireworks fill the sky. The sound was fine. They don't make as big a deal of it as they do at California Grill where they dim the lights and make announcements but it was a great way to end our meal as we were enjoying desert.

We have been able to see then while dining, but it is much better from the poly beach. I would maybe try to change to a earlier ressie so you could go outside to watch from the beach.

Thank you all for your replies. Wishes is actually at 10 that night so it would be just too late to try and hold off on dinner.

We've seen Wishes from O'Hana as well........... we were not next to the window either, in fact we were sort of in the middle of the restaurant - we just had a good view. We didn't hear the music though - too much people noise!! LOL BUT, we could see the fireworks just fine!! :goodvibes
