somehow I forgot to get this reservation for the first time in 16 trips do I not have one. I have no clue how I forgot this and now kicking myself for it. I have a backup a kona but want to eat ohana for dinner mainly but we would like to try and get a breakfast on dec 11th but our main thing is dinner. I've search the board for this question but most of them are 3plus years old and just wondering what the community thought the chances are of walking up. Will they take our name and two is it worth the try? We hoping the crowd might be somewhat off that week but I think everyone in park that week is going to ohana as nothing is coming no open and I've checked dialy for 2 months solid. Thanks in advance for the help.

Ohana walkup chances for any date, any party size is zero.

They won't even take your name. It doesn't matter if the "crowd is lower" across the resort as a whole. Ohana is booked wall-to-wall every day of the year. If you cannot get an ADR, it means they are fully booked. They don't "hold spots" for walk-ups, or even for Poly CL guests.

I was afraid of that thanks for the heads up.

Keep trying. Changes are made every minute with dining reservations....hope you get one.

Watch the December cancelled ADR board and do a Touring Plans reservation finder (free)

The day before (when folks must cancel or pay) you may see an opening here or there for like 10pm. Other than that, it's basically impossible.

Watch the cancelled ADR thread. I got a BOG dinner that way last year. Good luck!

1) Almost true.
2) Yes, they don't hold seats/tables open.
3) But, a Concierge with a Dining Override Code can get any party size, on any day, at any time into Ohana. *
4) Your only problem is finding the 1-or-2 Concierge at each resort with the code, as we don't advertise.
5) Overrides are used for people WE REALLY LIKE, or (more typically)
. . . WDW and Disneyland managers and guest at or above General Manager level
. . . Disney-Corp companies vice-presidents and above
. . . Disney/ABC Marketing Department guests
. . . very famous celebrities and ABC stars

* This goes for any eatery which is not capacity-limited, such as HDDR, Luau, V&A. Once these are sold out, there is no place to put these people who are forced into the Dining schedule. For other eatery locations, such forced ressies are squeezed into the Ala Carte system and those with previous ADR's are simply pushed back, and, yes, this does cause backups and delays for all others. I have seen days where more than 100-people were added to sold out eateries such as CP and CRT, let alone Ohana, with the resulting backups and long wait times.
