What is the average wait time from the time we check in until we are seated here?? We have a 6:55 ADR (in June 6 people). Is it realistic to think we can check in around 6:45 and be finished and back to MK in enough time to get a decent seat for the Electric Parade at 9?? Thanks!

Maybe. There can be long waits there after you checkin. I'm sure we have waited 30-40 minutes after our ADR time in the past (we don't go there anymore!). If that happens to you, I don't think you will have enough time to eat, transport back to MK and arrive prior to the parade starting. Or it would be close and you might be stuck watching from the train station.

If the parade is important, I would get a reservation time around 5:30 or 6:00, if possible, or schedule one of the activities for a different night.

Oy vey, we love O'hana, but we have never waited less than 40 minutes to be seated here for dinner. I suppose you could, but you may be rushing a bit.

I will say no. Even though you check in the people who have reservations before you will be seated before you. I can not recall ever reading someone being seated exactly on their reservation time at Ohana. The time builds as the night goes on.
then yougotta factor in the travel time to get to MK (and make your way up Main Street which will be packed)

is there a second show maybe?

for the money I would not want to rush through Ohana meal to be somewhere at a certain time.

In Dec we waited 33 minutes (I timed it) in 2010 we waited over an hour.

Thanks all! That's what I was afraid of. I keep checking for an earlier time, but that was the earliest available on my 180 day mark.

'Ohana for an early dinner (5:00-7:00) might be the second hardest reservation to get after dinner at BOG. It is extremely popular, but cancellations will come up so it's a matter of luck that you are online checking when a cancellation re-enters the reservation system.

I agree with the others that a 6:55 res is too late. Between the wait, dining and if you have children who want to participate in the coconut races and other activities, plus the time to get back to the MK there won't be enough time. If there is a second Electric Parade that night then the 6:55 would be okay.

We love 'Ohana but we are also extremely happy it has a "lounge" seating area where kids are able to hang out while parents can order a few drinks. We try for as early a seating as possible and then every member of our party is in stalker mode waiting for one of the lounge seating areas to open up. It never fails that we end up waiting a good 35-45 minutes at least for our table (even when it has just been me and my hubby).

Between the bar wait and whatever yummy adult beverage we order during the meal we always roll out of there stuffed and believing that WDW really IS the happiest place on earth.:thumbsup2

Have you tried putting in a time instead of DINNER?

Have you tried looking for a reservation for minus one or added one?

I can find a reservation for 3 but not 2--

It's always easier to show up with less people, than try to add an extra person who was not on the reservation. As a party of 6 you could try to find a res for more and let the CM at the podium know there are only 6 of you. As long as at least one person shows up for the res, you will not be charged for the "missing" person. If you make a res for fewer than your actual group, the CMs will do their best to seat everyone, but there's always the possibility that because of fire and safety code rules or because a restaurant is running behind schedule, anyone not on a res will be turned away.
