'Ohana - unable to get reservation in years

EdIt** Unfortunately, we haven't booked a trip with 180 days of lead time in quite some time. Our latest adventure is ~90 days out and I can't get into 'Ohana at all. It's been the same way for the last few years. I've tried day-of while there many, many times to no avail.

What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks to Pitpat for the touring-plan tool recommendation. Scored Beaches and 'OHana on a MK night!!

Do you check the disney dining website everyday, possibly even 2, 3, or 4 times a day? That is how I scored my Beaches and Cream Ressie for a Saturday in November. Also, one of the other websites... touring Plans, maybe, was testing out a "reservation finder" where you could enter the restaurant, time, and number of people then they would look for several times a day and would email or text you if they found a ressie.

As a backup plan you can order 'Ohana food via in-room dining.

As PP mentioned, just keep trying. I had friends who I helped book for Christmas week in late Oct., and got a late nt ADR within a few weeks, and then continued looking every day, and was able to get one at 4:30 shortly before. Then while there, they loved it so much, they wanted to eat there again, and I was able to get them another one for the end of the week - several popped up. A lot of people change and finalize plans that last week before, and even the nt before to avoid cancellation fee.

use the touringplans reservation finder - it's free.

I've found some at inconvenient times like 9:40pm lately. Other than that, also check at 60/59 days out, 30 days out and the day before and maybe you'll get lucky.

Thank you - I am not familiar with the reservation finder.

When do you travel. I've never booked it at 180 and usually can find some reservarion a couple months out espcially the day after the package cancelation day would be.

I just set-up an account and went to dining - found lots of info for using the Disney system - where is the link to use their system?

Just keep trying. I was obsessed with checking for Ohana and CRT. Within a week or so before our trip, I finally scored a 12:30pm CRT and a 5:00pm Ohana. People tend to hoard reservations until they figure out exactly what they want to do, then release them. My reservations at 180 days looked NOTHING like the reservations I had at 1 day because the ones I wanted just kept popping up! Full disclosure: I spent way too much time on this (DH thought I was crazy)...but ended up with everything that I wanted!

I've booked it day of for a later time. Agree with the hoarding thing. Look at 60 day and 30 day when folks get their FP+ and then know where they are going to be and start dropping reservations.

Be very persistent!! I never make our ressies until about 60 days earliest, and we've always gotten 'Ohana. We're early diners and can always get in between 5-6pm. I do check in often.

While you are there, look every night for next day reservations. I've been able to get almost everything I wanted this way, because people cancel the night before to avoid the no show fee. Good luck!

Many, many thanks, Pitpat! I scored the Beaches and the highly coveted 'Ohana (at a normal dinner time and on a day planned for MK!). Wouldn't have been possible without your advice. Hoping you have an awesome day knowing you helped someone.

This this this
Touring Plans is amazing
I managed to snag a CRT reservation for 8am last Sunday for my daughter and her friend.

Glad it worked out for you, OP.

I used the cancellation thread on this board to score a BOG dinner a few years ago. That's another place to try to find hard-to-get reservations.

We did this and cant wait to stay at Poly again for lots of reasons, but this is one of reasons!

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. It keeps asking me to pay for subscription despite saying basic is Free to use reservation finder. ???
