I guess it DID annoy you, if you wanted to tell someone to shut up.

Fortuneatly, there are hundreds more restaurants at WDW for you to try, and no one will force you to go back to 'Ohana.

Hope you had some better meals elsewhere.

Not exactly the place for a quiet meal. It sounds like you enjoyed the food however.

Yes--over time I imagine she can be quite annoying. But that "MC" stuff is all part of the O'hana experience and that's what you have to expect there.
Which is the main reason why we've only done O'hana once.
Were you sitting out front?? We had a seat sort of behind the cooking area and tho not quiet by any means, it was much better than had we sat out in the open.

The woman can get annoying at times but the kids still seem to have fun. The back parts of the restaurant are definately quieter and she doesn't go back there as much.

We love 'Ohana. However, we do think the man is far more annoying than the woman! But, that said, we still love the overall experience. :)

Have I made a mistake? Is this thread talking about a charactor breakfast or the dinner? I was not aware that O'Hana's had games at dinner time.

And I thought we were alone. DD asked if the "man was ready to be done talking" about six times.

Still trying to figure out my ADR's for our next trip and I asked the girls, "where do you guys want to eat at?" one of them said "OHANAS!" Why? I asked. "I had so much fun!" The lady that MC's actually was our waitress one time too. She was extra very nice to my girls. :) Just for that alone I had to give her a big tip. :thumbsup2

Webbie:
Dinner time is just as "lively"--

We only actually saw her once in that back area and that was when she was leading the childrens fashion parade around the restaurant.
This may sound weird, but she reminded me a little of Charro :confused3

And just to add--not my kind of dinner thing, but obviously many do get a kick out of all of it and that's one reason why it is a popular spot.

thanks Uncleromulus, I will have to discuss this with the family...all adults. LOL. :rolleyes1

I am so relieved that you posted this! I have suprisingly NEVER eaten at O'Hana's in the 16 different Disney vacations I've taken... I was thinking about making ADR's there for Oct. since we've never been and the stuff on the menu is what my DH loves.... but I know he would HATE it if they have guest interaction like that! :rotfl: He prefers to eat his meal w/ no entertainment hence the reason we also don't do Whispering Canyon and 50's Prime Time cafe... I guess I can scratch that one of the ADR list then! :rotfl:

Plenty of food. Excellent preperation. Presentation is fun. Love the exotic atmoshere and the fun and games. A Disney Original. We also really like the Luau.
My 2 Cents

The level of "entertainment" at 'Ohana isn't nearly as much as at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. You could always ask for a table away from the main "fire pit" area. You also might try for an earlier PS time, say 5:00... the entertainment doesn't seem to really crank up until after 6:00 or so. Plus, if you don't want to participate, no problem. Most of the participation stuff at Ohana is for the kids anyway.

True. You can have a "non-participatory" meal. But it isn't a quiet meal by any means!!!
