Ohana reviews

It would be an interesting experiment for a group of 'Ohana lovers and a group of those of us less-enamored to have dinner together. Do you suppose we'd agree about the experience...one way or the other? :earsboy:

Count us among the "haters". Our first visit in 2007 was terrific. The food quality and service during a second visit two years later were dismal but we understand that even good restaurants can have an off night, and decided to give them another chance. Our last visit three years ago was such a terrible experience there is no way I will be able to convince DH to go back. We thought about complaining but decided that we just wanted to get the heck out of there.

::yes:: this was similar to my experience as well.
We hated it. I was actually kind of depressed about it. I snagged a great adr time and I'd heard such good things but alas...

I didn't enjoy the sweet flavor everything had.

Meats were tough or rubbery.

Broccoli was just broccoli.

Noodles gummy and cold.

Potstickers were hard.

And we we seated on the racetrack where they parade the kids around so twice I was elbowed, bumped, etc while parents dragged or cajoled some unhappy campers into the fun.

On the plus side our waiter was a delight!

Despite the negative reviews I read, I wanted to try it for myself. So I went, and blah, it was awful. our ADR was at 530pm. We had terrible quality steak and a bit dry, slimy chicken wings, pot stickers were dry, brocoli was just that...brocoli. Noodles were ok thou. I honestly dont understand the hype, and I wont be back. Not worth it at all. But thats just my experience. If your curious and wanna try, I say go for it. You might enjoy it.

I couldn't agree with this more.

I heard such negative reviews about Liberty Tree Tavern dinner but we went anyway and we had a fantastic meal there last night. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious.

I say of the menu and atmosphere appeal to you go ahead and try it. Better to try it and not like it then never try it and miss out on a wonderful meal.

I agree with you. We absolutely loved LTT. Everyone on here raves about the ooey gooey cake that they serve with lunch. I have never been there for lunch, but I don't think that the apple cake, for dinner, gets enough credit. The meal we had there was one of our favorites. In fact, it is one of only two restaurants that we are going to again.
