Ohana Review

Man...now I'm thinking about booking it. We've been...we've usually had great experiences there...but now I'm torn between doing something new vs. eating my weight in dumplings.

I love it there the food the atmosphere, it's awesome. Never had a bad meal or bad experience there. I always highly recommend going to ohana to all my friends. Great place remember book it at the 180 day mark. Reservations fill up fast. Side note get the drink that comes as a whole pineapple yummy !!

The Lapu Lapu is pretty tremendous

It's not cheap but it is pretty strong!

While watching this video Daniel Tosh came to mind. I was going to post as many inappropriate comments as I could in 60 seconds, but I have too many warnings as it is. It was very nice for Pete to put Craig and Kylie up at the Poly, but she looks a lot like JL in this video.

Thanks for posting this, Heidi! I've only been once a few yrs ago & the food was poor. Overcooked & little flavour. However, after seeing this new video, I may have to try it again because it looked so much better than my dinner & the Team isn't shy about letting us know if they are unhappy. Maybe I just hit Ohana on an off-night? Probably one of the most credible criticisms of WDW restaurants is inconsistency.

OK, we freakin LOVE Ohana. Love. We've been on 4 trips in the last year and a half and we always have to eat there. We'll be there tomorrow, actually. I know the team has not given it rave reviews in the past but I'm really glad they enjoyed it.

And I'm with Pete's friend, that bread is to die for! I may try to smuggle out a loaf in my purse.

I've been about 4 or 5 times or so, but not in over 3 years. Matter of fact, I l like to go either there, or Boma, on my 1st night in WDW, as "a precursor to the excitement", while not burning a park ticket. Always had good experiences - not earthshattering, but not terrible. And views certainly can't be beat.

Have a magical trip, Ashley! pixiedust:

Is the bread & pineapple butter at Ohana the same as they serve at Kona? I love the bread & butter at Kona. I can't remember what I had at Ohana. Sad about that. But guessing its prob from the same kitchen? Would make sense if it was.

I love Ohana. We hit it at least 2 times every visit. The desert is OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

no, the breads are different - I prefer the Kona bread

I think they do share a kitchen though (or at least parts of it) as I have gotten the Ohana bread pudding at Kona before (just have to ask your server nicely)

We do that a lot too - and then go down to the beach to watch Wishes from there

Wow, between Will the bread *****, stick meat, and Ryno tapping the Tiki butt that was quite the video!

I enjoy Ohana, but it seems very inconsistent - even the components of the meal. Last time we were there the pork was the best part, but I know others have gone and the pork was dry

I recently watched a Periscope (by a pretty well known Disney related person) who was staying at the Poly bungalows and ordered Ohana room service

Somewhere the Devil claimed a soul

Great video review of 'Ohana . My wife and I fell in love with the place the first time we dined there on our honeymoon in '98. Been going back annually ever since. I remember looking around on that first visit at all of the kids running around having fun and thinking how much fun it would be to come back with kids of our own some day. And don't you know it, that's exactly what we did! Always been one of our favorites. Very appropriately named restaurant IMO.
