Just thought I'd share about our dinner at Ohana the other night since I was one of the many who was majorly bummed about the menu changes..

Firstly, the appetizers aren't coming on the lazy susan anymore.. we just had plates of the different items. THere were the wings, salad, wontons, potatoes, and stir fried veggies.

I have to say - the potatoes were SO delicious. I ate so many that I had no room for all the meats! THey were very buttery tasting, but very good. I wish I had more.. right now.

The veggies were TERRIBLE. I'm a huge fan of the string beans.. but I gave the veggies a try and they just had no taste at all. I told the waitress and she said that's a common complaint :(

There were the standard skewers: pork, beef, shrimp, and turkey. All were good. (there was no sausage that has been talked about as of Saturday)..

Finally, there was bread pudding which I never had before.. but it was really tasty :) CAme w/ bananas foster sauce. Yum.

I'd still go again, for sure :)

Thanks for the review. We're doing there for the first time in October and I was beginning to wonder, with all the complaints about the changes, if I should change the ADR. Sounds like it's still good!

Amazing how much the difference is within a few days. I went on 8/28, and we still had the lazy susans, the pineapple, and our vegetable mix was very good. I actually asked for seconds on the veggies!

The bread pudding sounds good though.

Thanks for the review. I'm glad they didn't replace the shrimp with sausage, but I'll miss the lazy susan. :sad2:

What was the texture of the bread pudding like? Was it dry, moist or wet?

Thanks

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for posting.

I'm so glad to hear the shrimp are still there for the skewers and that the wings and wontons are still there. We are going next Wednesday, 9/14 and I was so worried about those things. I do not eat red meat at all, so I was really upset to think they were doing away with the shrimp and putting in sausage, YUCK!
