My parents are having their 25th wedding anniversary and it's first time at Disneyworld. We have been to Disneyland 4 times. I'm just wondering since I can't get a ressie at Ohana so far, what if we just went a bit before it opened that day? Would we get a table do you think? I didn't know you needed reservations so far ahead!!!
Thank you

Not likely at 'Ohana. It is probably the most popular or one of the most popular at WDW right now.

But when are you going - that can make a little difference.

I wouldn't go out of my way to try and see if you could get in (like taking transportation to the Poly or driving out of my way), especially with a group celebrating a special event. If I couldn't get a reservation in advance, I would pick somewhere else.

Going September 20-30 !
Thank you for your info!

Given your dates, I feel even more strongly about what I said - it's free dining time @ Disney and restaurants are packed.

I would book somewhere else, but keep checking for 'Ohana cancellations if that's where you would rather be. You can check online quite easily.

Keep checking the online dining reservations page multiple times a day to see if something comes up. Since it's a credit card guarantee restaurant people who decide not to go will cancel so they aren't assessed the no show penalty. It will help to be flexible on the day and time because 'Ohana is the most popular restaurant right now. Even after you arrive at DW you can check at the concierge's desk at your resort or at Guest Relations in the parks.

Good luck!

There are a lot of very nice restaurants that I would choose for an anniversary dinner and 'Ohana is not one of them. Now my family eats there on every visit but it is a very boisterous large dining area. Do you want one of the resorts near MK?

If you are looking for something near the MK, I would suggest Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. While its more expensive than 'Ohana, I think you'd be pleased with the food and atmosphere.

You can take the boat over from the MK and ADRs are typically very easy to come by (even during a free dining period). Plus the WL lobby is really cool.

Some other good choices near the MK for an anniversary dinner are Citricos, Cali Grill and Narcoossees. ADRs at these tend to be somewhat tougher to get than Artist Point but a heck of a lot easier than 'Ohana.

If you're open to all of WDW (and not just near MK), Jiko in the AKL is another soild choice.
