I am really torn between the two. Can anybody help sway me to either one? We love Asian style food of any kind.

I didn't love Ohana. I can't wait to try Yak & Yeti though.

Ohana issues - they didn't always bring what we wanted, kids would only eat the shrimp but it was hard to peel, salad was just okay
Ohana positives - dessert, fireworks

Our family loves Ohana! Yak and Yeti...we haven't tried yet! Will on this trip!

We love Ohana because the atmosphere is great, fireworks awesome, family like feel, great potstickers, veggies and meat! We were always served an abundance of everything...the bananas foster is to die for! Good luck

'Ohana has some Asian-influence items, but I wouldn't choose it if I was wanted an Asian meal.

Yak N Yeti is not exactly authentic, but it's much more 'Asian'.

They're both good, but it's an apples and oranges comparison. So I guess I'd go with whichever one will be more convenient to get to that day.

We're not fans of either. Between the two, I'd to YnY simply because its cheaper. You may want to read the dining reviews here when trying to decide. :disrocks:

If you are wanting a Asian meal than I would choose Yak and Yeti. The crispy orange chicken chicken is awesome. My husband likes the Shaoking (sp) steak and shrimp. Their egg rolls are yummy. We have had the trio of sorbet and fried wontons for dessert and both are excellent. We have not had Ohana for dinner yet we are trying it for breakfast on our next trip.

Guess my take is a little different. To me the noodles, potstickers, wings, are prepared "Asian style" and are very good - even if none of the other meats appeal to you these, as well as the salad, bread, and dessert are great - it's O'Hana for us!!!! I just love the noodles and wings and have asked for refill of wings, instead of the other meats, and there was no problem :yay:

We love Ohana. The wings, noodles and veggies are fantastic. I love the bread and the dessert. Oh, I can't wait to make reservations in 6 days. :cool1:

We had breakfast at Ohana and lunch at Yak & Yeti. With that said, I enjoyed Ohana's a lot more... the atmosphere was wonderful but I can't comment on the asian food since we didn't have any. We made reservations for Ohana dinner on our next trip. We had great service at Yak & Yeti... I just didn't care for the entree which was Mahi Mahi... it was very thickly breaded and not very flavorful. I didn't care for the veggies either. But the dessert & appetizers were delish. I would choose Ohana's since I've heard so many great things about them.

We enjoyed Yak & Yetis for lunch the last two years. The food is so delicious. The appetizers were all so very good. The seafood curry was fabulous. Here is a link to the menu http://allears.net/menu/menu_yak.htm The ribs, the Mahi, & the shrimp is also great. We love it here. But, we haven't tried OHanas yet. Hopefully we will try there next time. Hope this helps.

We love Yak and Yet too! The shrimp and chicken lo mein is excellent! The mango pie is one of the best desserts I've ever had at WDW. Haven't done Ohana's yet!

Have fun!!!

We used to be 'Ohana haters but we gave it another shot and realized we just had a turd for a waiter. Now it's an absolute must-do for us. It's not at all Asian except maybe the noodles but it's not Fogo de Chao, either. Good food, reasonably priced for this kind of experience, and 100x better than Yak and Yak again.

Haven't been to YnY but LOVED 'Ohana on our last trip :) Food was delish and we ate waaaaaaaay too much ;) I think it would be really fun for kids too.
IMO, Pros: more convenient and no park ticket necessary (unless you happen to be at AK that day or stay at AKL), dinner is "all-you-care-to-enjoy" (lol Disney euphemism), the dinner "show" is cute
Cons: more expensive, more crowded

It is funny that you mentioned Fogo de Chao as we had dinner there last week. What intrigues my family is the dim sum for 2 appetizer at Yak and Yeti. My wife is from LA and loves Dim Sum, and I love it too. We live in Atlanta and we have pretty good Dim Sum here, but it is not as great as LA Chinatown Dim Sum.

Your going to get people on here with conflicting opinions. Some are going to like O'Hanas....some are not. And the same for YnY.

Your going to have to look at both menus and decide if it's worth it to go, and then choose. Which is what I did. I ended up tossing everything everyone was writing and went with O'Hanas. With all the negative that was written, my experience was GREAT. The food was awesome, cooked perfectly (yes the shrimp is hard to eat cause you have to shell it) but the rest, amazing. And the salad to us, was by far, the best part, after the bread!!! My mom is a salad snob! She eats mainly salads everyday, and this by far, is one of the best salads with dressings both of us have had. The meat was great as was the rest of the meal.

Having said that, YnY was great too. Both of our meals cooked well, seasoned great. Can't complain with either place. Our servers were excellent and attentive.

Do what YOU feel you want to do, not what others on here are trying to tell you. Go and make your own opinion. Im glad I did:):)

We have been to both, and I have to say O'hana. Its really a great atmosphere and the food is good. They have a nice selection of meats and sides with dipping sauces....My vote is for O'hana:thumbsup2

Thank you all for your replies. I believe we are going to shoot for an Ohana reservation first, and if I can't get that a Yak and Yeti. We'll find out next Wednesday when our 180 day window opens.

Yak and Yeti in a landslide.

'Ohana is one of the worst places to eat at WDW. I wouldn't eat there even if my meal was free.
