I have reservations at both for the Saturday night of our trip. Obviously, we can't dine in both places.... which is a more memorable, romantic dining experience? It's our last night in WDW!

Romance is where you make it.
Ohana is packed and noisy.
Yachtsman is a more adult experience.

Food fine in both places, but Yachtsman will be the superior meal and experience.

We absolutely love Ohana, and have never been to Yachtsman. Ohana is very fun, noisy, kid-friendly, and we really enjoy the food! But I wouldn't consider it romantic, so I agree with PP!

Have a great trip!

We loved the Yachtsman -- the meal was unbelievable. It's just outside of Epcot and an easy walk so that's a plus too. But without question the quiet atmosphere and a more "adult" experience without kids running around -- I would pick the Yachtman for myself, handsdown!

I would pick the yachtsman for a romantic dinner nothing romantic about ohana.

I too believe that the Yachtsman is the more romantic restaurant. It is a beautiful restaurant and the service is great. However, in our 3 tries we have not enjoyed the food and we will not return. It is expensive and we found our entrees to be just not good.
On the other hand, we enjoyed the food at 'OHana very much. It is a very different atmnosphere. Noisy and a bit frenetic.
Have you thought about Jiko for your romantic dinner. We love it there for our special dinner. It too is a beautiful restaurant with friendly servers, good wine and delicious food.
Good Luck in your decision.,

Just wanted to add that I have heard of Disney cancelling all reservations if you have 2 for the same meal time (.i.e. Sat. night dinner) so make your decision quickly!

Yachtsman hands down, we are one of the few that really didn't like O'hana.

Ohana food is good but the atmosphere is not romantic, quiet or relaxing at all! I would go to the Yachtsman even though it is not my favorite signature restaurant....

Any signature restaurant wins over a regular TS for us.

I agree with flipflopmom--check and see if Disney hasn't already cancelled one or the other.

I'm still okay on that end. :)

I thought about Jiko, but we already have a breakfast res at Boma, and I want my SO to see as many different resorts as we can.

Yachtsman hands down, we are one of the few that really didn't like O'hana.

O'hana when it first started was good, in the recent years, to us it has gone down in service, presentation and quality, it's like a glorified Golden Corral. A buffet type what have you. We quit attending it years ago, especially for the money.

Yachtmans Steakhouse is more of a fine dining experience, cloth table cloths, waiter/waitress service and meat prepared how you like. We'd take Yachtsman over Le Cellier any day too.

I say cancel both.

I don't think of Ohana as romantic at all--very noisy.

I had a terrible experience at Yachtsman and will never return.

Just curious, what would you put in it's place? I already have res at V&A, Cali Grille, Tony's, Boma, Grand Floridian, Rose & Crown and Crystal Palace.

I wouldn't give up on Yachtsman because one person had a terrible experience. We have never eaten there (mainly because it takes 2 TS credits) but the general opinion is that it is fabulous.

We love 'Ohana, but for a romantic dinner it is not an option. It is a family, stuff yourself until you explode experience.

We loved Yachtsman. It was a wonderful dining experience. Had no problems, we had a 5 year old with us and 3 adults. They catered not only to the adults at the table but also to the child. She even loved her meal. She ordered the chicken noodle soup off of the childrens' menu as her appetizer, and she ate all of the noodles out of it, they actually brought her a cup of just noodles to add to the broth she had left (it was mickey head pasta) The service and food were great. Have been to both O'hana and Yachtsman, romantic would definetly be Yachtsman, even though O'hana was fun, it just wasn't quiet.

I agree with the majority, Yachtsman. Really it is comparing apples to oranges.

I would consider Jiko or Flying Fish as options as well. You did mention Boma but Jiko is a completely different atmosphere. Flying Fish is one of my favorites. You could take a nice romantic stroll around the Boardwalk after.

Thanks. I think I'm going to stick with Yachtsman. SO doesn't do seafood, so Flying Fish would be wasted on him.
