Hello

We will be trying the Deluxe Dining plan in Sept 2010 and every night, we will do a signature restaurant, we will do them ALL except for Cinderella's castle. With the lenght of our stay we have an extra night with no signature restaurant left so I was debating if we should do Ohana or Le Cellier for dinner? I've been to both and enjoyed them both in a different way but my friend has never been to Disney at all, so which one do you think I should take her to? Thanks alot for your input! :goodvibes

For a Disney atmosphere, I'd go with 'Ohana. For excellent food, I'd go with Le Cellier. Just depends on what you want out of the meal.
Good luck!

Since you are doing mostly signatures, I say do Ohana. It is totally different atmosphere, better in my opinion and the food is very good.
Your friend should like it. Definitely something different.

I would do 'Ohana for the different atmosphere and flavor from the signatures. LeCellier is just too much like a signature, but without the signature, if you know what i mean. I would also do 'Ohana first, for the festive atmosphere to kick off the vacation...and you might not notice as much if the quality of the meal is not quite up to par.

We did both on our last trip and we really enjoyed both but we will definitely go back to Ohana. It is just a fun festive atmosphere and the Lapu, Lapu is not to be missed! The kids can eat the regular "buffet" or they will bring a kids meal if requested. Our kids also enjoyed being able to get up and participate in the show. Last but not least, I think Ohana's dessert blows away anything served at LeCellier!!!

Do Both, drop a signature then add Boma or Crystal Palace for breakfast.

Ohana, just because it is nice to see the Poly, the beach... We like the food at both.

We love Ohana...it's always our meal on our last night. Never been to Le Cellier but are going on our upcoming trip. Without having been to Le Cellier would vote for Ohana too. The food and atmosphere are what makes it for us. When/if you do go, ask to be in the main room. We were not one time and it was a different feel. All the action takes place in the main room (for the most part).

Have fun wherever you go!!!

Both are great. Ohana gets my vote for dinner, but maybe you could fit Le Cellier for lunch.

I would do 'Ohana in a heartbeat. You are already doing every meal for the amazing food. You should take your friend to a meal that just has the complete "disney atmosphere", that you can't get at home. Besides the delicious food, 'Ohana is so much fun. The Poly is a beautiful resort and the castle is right outside the window as you dine. You can even time your meal during Wishes! To me, 'Ohana is a prime example of what makes Disney so unique and special.

Good luck deciding! :goodvibes

Le Cellier, one of the best foods in the parks especially for 1 TS. Ohana is nice, but the mushroom filet at Le Cellier is amazing (and I dont like mushrooms).

You might even consider Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue or Disney Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show for something different from the signature restaurant?

'Ohana=yuck! Dry meats, sweet noodles....ugh! Soooooo disappointed with this restaurant. Dessert was fantastic though. Le Cellier was very good - I would choose it in a heartbeat over 'Ohana.

Ohana

We loved LeCellier, but it really felt like an overpriced steakhouse. Paying $36 for a regular NY Strip seemed a bit much. More for your ressie at Ohana.

We love them both! (I know, not much help). I agree with a pp who said go to Ohana for dinner and Le Cellier for lunch one day. I would skip breakfast one day, eat an early lunch at Le Cellier and a late dinner at Ohana where I would watch wishes. We've done that before and it was very special.

I would do Ohana any day of the week over Le'Cellier. I personally loved the atmosphere, service, and food at Ohana; it is a must do on our list every time we visit.

Our first and only visit to Le'Cellier left us wondering what all the hype was about the place. We waited almost an hour past our ADR. When seated next to the restroom and server table we politely asked to be moved and the manager told us "NO", we even told her we would wait again, answer, "we can sit there or go somewhere else". The food was good, not great, but good. If you were to put a few kangaroo's up on the walls holding a Fosters instead of a Canadian theme you would not know the difference between it and an Outback.

Please Le'Cellier fans, this is not a personal attack on you. It is mearly my impression of our first and only visit. I'm sure I will go again someday. However, my expectations will not be at the level of the hype. If there were no such thing as a DDP and 1TS(which does make it an excellent value), I don't believe this place would be so hyped as it is. Again, JMHO.
