Getting close to our ADR date. A lot of people have suggested 'Ohana or Kona. If you were going to do one of these for dinner, which would you do?
We have 2 little DDs.

With kids, 'Ohana.

We enjoyed both - 'Ohana has more in it for kids while Kona is more of a lobby coffee shop atmosphere. Kona does have better food but 'Ohana is still tasty.

thanks for your replies! Maybe we will end up doing Kona for breakfast and 'ohana for dinner.

I'd do Kona. Food is much better. Obviously Ohana's draw is different, so maybe with 2 little DDs, that might be the way to go.

We had dinner at Kona on Thursday night. ON past trips we always ate at Ohanas but I was disappointed with the food last time. I will now ALWAYS have dinner at Kona! The teriyaki steak was to die for! As was the sweet bread and butter they gave us! YUM!! After dinner we headed out to the beach to watch Wishes. It was a GREAT night!:thumbsup2

Your kids will have fun at 'Ohana. I love Kona for food, but it's just a basic restaurant hotel in terms of atmosphere. 'Ohana on the other hand has good food but lots of silly games and Disney fun. And, if the kids don't like the 'Ohana food, you can always order grilled cheese or chicken fingers or whatever really from Kona for them.

Can you get Ohana's dessert at Kona?? We booked Kona because the kids are older and food is the main draw but they want the other dessert.. Boy you can never please them:lmao:.

We were there too on Thursday night klwDisney! It was awesome! DH had the teriyaki steak and i had the mahi mahi. we had the wings for an appetizer. the bread and butter was amazing! it was the best meal of our trip!

Ohana, not only is the food awesome but there is great entertainment!

We just got back today from our 8 night WDW stay, and we ate at OHANA's for dinner one night & the food was amazing, our waitor was excellent, and they had alot of entertainment! My DBF loved it so much he wanted to cancel our coral reef reservation to go there again! its definitely worth it!

Thank you all for your responses! Can someone tell me what the entertainment at 'Ohana's is?

Both are very good restaurants :goodvibes. But I would say go with Ohana for the entertainment....the kids will love it :cool1: :cool1:.

When we were there in September a guy was walking around singing Hawaiian songs. They also have coconut races for the kids, which is very cute to watch.....the kids really get into that :dance3:.

Thanks! I am sure my oldest DD would really like the coconut races :)

I would do Ohana for the fun & games a dinner & Kona for the food. Either is a great choice.

I know for our family that Kona is a must to do!! We have 2 kids and they both LOVE eating there. We will be eating there again this Dec. Good luck with which ever one you chose though!! Have a great time. :thumbsup2
