we are staying at the Poly and I already have breakfast ressies for both. I'm trying to figure out which one to do for dinner though. Would you choose 'Ohana or Kona for dinner? Oh, we have a 7 and 5 year old with us. Thanks.

What kind of eaters are the 5 and 7 year old?

If they'll make the pricing on AYCTE shrimp, steak skewers, pot stickers and noodles worth it, 'Ohana is a lot of fun. If they'll insist on a $30 plate of chicken tenders, go to Kona, where at least you'll pay a la carte.

My 7 year old eats anything. My 5 year old is very picky but will eat meats.

If you're paying OOP, Kona will be much cheaper for the picky one. $25.56 per child at 'Ohana. You'll get out for $9-11 per kid at Kona.

If you are staying at The Polynesian, a third option would be to have the Ohana dinner food delivered by room service. Then you don't have to pay for the kids. I don't know that pushing a coconut around with a broom is worth the price of two kid's dinners at Ohana.

That's a good idea too. Might do that. Thanks. Is there an extra charge for room service?

The pricing is different if paying OOP, but not so much "extra" because you can order 1/2 servings, instead of paying for all 4 people.

Pricing is $40 for an adult portion, $20 for a child's. Portions are quite generous. A child's portion is still a lot of food. For the two of us, we get 1 adult serving and share. There is a delivery fee ($3-4 IIRC) and they add an 18% gratuity to your bill. Be cautious of that, as it isn't obvious on the bill that they've added a gratuity already, and in the desire to dig into that deliciously smelling food it's easy to automatically add a tip to a bill that already has the tip included. One additional thing about the Twilight Feast - while you do get the dessert, it does not come with the ice cream.
